- NTNita ThomasSep 28, 20251.0This morning I went in to purchase a cup of coffee for myself and my mother. A Hispanic patron and his daughter were also present. The employee greeted the Hispanic patron in Spanish while I went to the self checkout, the cashier spoke to the patron in Spanish and the patron continued to respond in English. The issue is that although I’m a Race Trac customer as well I was never greeted after he completed the transaction. While checking out, I listened to the conversation, because I too speak Spanish ( they exchanged simple morning pleasantries). A white lady came up and headed to the doughnut section, she was properly greeted and acknowledged with a brief conversation about her buying doughnuts for her kids. The cashier even shared with her about him having diabetes. Upon exiting, he never acknowledged my presence. Moving forward, I will be patronizing Quick Trip for a gas and my daily coffee purchases! Moving forward I encourage people of color to go elsewhere to avoid not being valued as a patron and acknowledged where you spend your money! A one star is being courteous, it deserves a zero.
