During our visit to QuikTrip today, we placed an order using a Truist credit card. After nearly 50 minutes, multiple order attempts, and being told the deli didn’t have enough product to make two sandwiches, the clerk attempted to issue a cash refund for a credit-card purchase. I refused. This is a basic violation of standard credit-card handling procedures, MCS/MCA standards, and common merchant compliance practices. No reputable retailer should be refunding a card transaction in cash unless the system is completely down — and that was not the case. When I questioned the manager, he stated that cash refunds were the only method he knew. He had no idea that refunds could be processed back to the original card. Only after contacting his manager did he learn how to perform a proper card refund — and the process was extremely simple. His own comment was: “I learned something new today. I don’t know why I wasn’t ever shown this.” What’s even more concerning is that the clerk, who said she has been at this store for three years, also had no idea that refunds can — and should — be sent back to the card. This is not a minor oversight. It is a serious training failure that creates liability, safety risks, and opportunities for theft or fraud. It also puts customers at risk of chargeback complications and violates standard credit-card merchant agreements. After all of that, we were eventually handed our food — and there were two sandwiches. The manager, Conner, said there would be no charge for the second one. While we appreciate the gesture, this entire situation was not about free food. It was about the lack of communication, the complete absence of proper credit-card handling protocols, and the fact that employees were never trained on the most basic refund procedures. This store needs immediate review of its payment-handling training. Customers should never be put in a position where their credit-card transaction is handled incorrectly, especially by employees who have been there for years and were never shown proper procedures.

This store has smelled the last few visits. The people are great here but they need to spend more time cleaning by the bathrooms and coffee area.

I've always been a fan of QT, but in the last year, the standards here, at this location, have really slipped. In particular , the drinks and freeze machines are ALWAYS broken down and popular flavors like the only sugar free freeze option hasn't been available for quite some time now. Other QT locations not only have a better selection, their equipment is usually in working order. I'm not sure who's in charge here, but someone needs to get on the ball and fix some things. I've been bypassing this location and going to the newer RaceTrac a mile or so down the road as they don't seem to suffer from the broken equipment issues this location does.

They just tried to charge me $10.30 for a pack of cigarettes on a two pack special. That's $20.60. get the same ones that racetrack up the road for two packs at $10.40. really think the guy was just trying to rip me off.
