After a while of looking for affordable yet dependable options to get a tie changed for a trip back home I finally stopped at mavis. At first I was afraid that a national chain like Mavis was going to up charge me past my limit. As I walked in a was met with a friendly face and an overall amazing guy, Tant. He helped walk me through the prices for the tire and what my best options were. The wait wasn’t too long either even though I was a walk up. Tant even helped me when I started to wonder if an oil change was a good option, again walking me through the prices, very good prices by the way, and again giving me a total up front. They even walked me out to my car when they saw a possible problem, not to up charge me or attempt to sell me another service, but just to make me aware. Overall this experience was nothing but extraordinary and will forever keep Mavis at the forefront for any tire replacements and car repair for my future!
- KRK RDec 19, 20251.0Wow!!!!!! Sent my daughter here to get brake pads for her car on 12/15/25. VW dealership gave her an estimate for $279 for rear brake pads on her 2024 VW. I saw that Mavis was offering a special $140 off brake pads sale($70 per axle). Since they are located right nearby in Hamlin I thought she should see about getting her brakes done locally and with the sale. it’s gotta be cheaper than the dealership! Wow was I wrong. They must’ve seen a young female coming in for service and thought “cha-Ching $amp;”. Mavis quote for brake pads was over $500. For pads!!!! Are you kidding me??? They tried to scare her and told her if she left she would be doing damage to her rotors and then it would cost over $1000. She texted me with this info and I told her to “leave now!” A couple days later she went back to Orlando VW North and got the brake pads done for $279. Shame on Mavis of Hamlin!!! Shame on you for trying to take advantage of a young female customer! Shame on you for trying to screw over people in the neighborhood and scare them into paying nearly double the cost of a dealership! Will never return!
