  I have consistently rented car here 3 to 4 times first time I am disappointed. Rented a car got a check engine light called their customer service they said to take it back and replace the car . Went back 45 minutes after the call and have to wait another 30 to 45 minutes to get a replacement. My mom is a diabetic have no way to go to lunch and eat but sit here for the car to be ready . The customers service told us it will be ready once we reach there . Very disappointed.

  I normally do not go out of my way to do this but feel obligated to warn people about my experience. The staff onsite was helpful but the customer service I have experienced since has been absolutely terrible. I was double charged, and it has been a long time with no response or update to when it would be fixed. When calling into customer service I was told there is nothing they can do with no ETA. Very unprofessional. If a real manager wants to call me to work out the issue that would be great but the 3 hours I've wasted today on the phone with SIXT customer service, I will never get back.

  Our flight was cancelled, so I called SIXT customer service to move our car pickup to the next day as a courtesy. Unfortunately, the representative I spoke with mistakenly changed the class of our car to a smaller, standard vehicle that wouldn’t fit our luggage, stroller, and kids comfortably. When I arrived at the airport and tried to explain the mix-up, the agent at the desk was extremely rude and dismissive, speaking to me in a belittling tone and insisting that “that’s what’s on the itinerary.” Instead of helping resolve the issue, he hurriedly told me to “speak to the manager at pickup.” Thankfully, Mike—the manager at the rental pickup—was incredible. He was professional, patient, and truly listened to my situation. He quickly fixed the issue, provided us with the car class we originally reserved, and even added my husband as a free additional driver to make up for the inconvenience. After a stressful 24 hours of travel, his kindness and efficiency made a huge difference. Because of Mike’s outstanding customer service, I would definitely rent from SIXT again. However, I strongly hope the company ensures that all airport agents receive proper training in empathy and customer service. A little understanding can go a long way during already stressful travel days.

  I will never rent from Sixt again. On the last day of my rental I got a flat tire, and what should have been a simple situation turned into a complete nightmare. There is no direct roadside assistance number. The number they provide just sends you through endless automated prompts asking for a reservation number that isn’t printed anywhere on their own receipt. I was hung up on repeatedly and thrown into the same loop every time I called. There was no help from the local branch either — unanswered calls, and then they disconnect. When I finally reached a real person, I was placed on hold and essentially abandoned. Hours later, someone was eventually dispatched and the technician was excellent — but that was the only competent part of this entire experience. Because of Sixt’s terrible communication, I missed nearly an entire day, including a scheduled appointment. Then weeks later, I received a mysterious $449.99 charge with no explanation, no claim reference, and again no way to speak to a human being. No accountability. No customer service. Just automated walls and dead-end menus. Sixt is structured to make getting help as difficult and exhausting as possible, and then they quietly bill you for it afterward. This is not a customer-focused company — it is a frustration factory that treats communication and support as optional. If you value your time, sanity, or transparency, rent anywhere else. National, Enterprise, literally any other major company communicates and resolves issues without making you fight for basic service. Lesson learned.
