We had a truly horrendous experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
We returned the car exactly as instructed to the US1 location in South Vero Beach. The keys were handed directly to an employee behind the counter, along with confirmation that the gas tank had been filled.
The next day, we received a call from a pickup location in Miami asking where the car was—because the Vero Beach location never checked the vehicle back in.
When we called the location, the manager on duty acknowledged the issue and even went out personally to locate the car on their lot. He assured us it would be resolved.
However, two hours later, we were shocked to see TWO separate charges for the same rental.
This level of disorganization and lack of basic procedure is unacceptable. Checking in a returned vehicle is a fundamental task, and failing to do so caused unnecessary stress and billing issues.
Enterprise needs to seriously address staff training and accountability at this location.
Outstanding experience with professional, efficient and respectful employees. We were very impressed with the experience and recommend them highly.

Enterprise in Vero Beach ended up being a last-minute option for me. I normally rent with Hertz, but they didn’t have any vehicles available, so I decided to try Enterprise even though I wasn’t familiar with their system.
The online booking process was very easy. I actually reserved the vehicle less than an hour before pickup and was a little concerned that something might go wrong or that the reservation wouldn’t process in time. Fortunately, everything went through without any issues.
When I arrived, the location was very busy and there was a long line, so I expected the process to take quite a while. However, the customer service made a big difference. The staff at the counter were friendly, professional, and took the time to walk me through everything. Even as a brand-new customer, I was able to get checked out and into a clean, newer Tahoe in about 30 minutes.
What really stood out was the follow-up from the manager and team after the rental was returned. They reached out the next day to make sure everything went well and to ask for feedback. That level of service is something I rarely see with rental companies.
If I had one suggestion, it would be to find ways to move customers into vehicles a little faster. It looked like vehicles are still being physically inspected before each rental, which can slow things down during busy periods. Some additional technology or process improvements could probably streamline that step.
That said, this feedback reflects the company process more than the location itself. The Vero Beach team was outstanding. Great service, great vehicle, and a great overall experience. This location turned me into a future Enterprise customer.
