- JRJohn RamboFeb 15, 20261.0Came here a few weeks ago to check my check engine light, their scanner was broken. Then I came a few days later to drop off used oil and their container was full. Store is completely useless. If you have things that are broken or full, fix it for your customers. Unacceptable.

As I was attempting to install them I needed to read the instructions which resulted in me looking at a you tube video. I heard a voice asking If he could help me. Well he did and within 5 minutes they were installed. I recommend this Advanced Auto Parts Store.
- AGAnnette GratzDec 7, 20251.0I had to get a jump to drive over to Advance Auto Parts to get a new battery for my 2020 RAV 4. When I got there I was pleased to hear they had the battery I needed. But then she told me my car needs a special tool to install the battery which they don’t have . I asked how is that possible, never heard of such a thing. Luckily I left my car running and went across the street to another auto part store. They laughed and told me to turn my car off . The only tool needed was his hands .

Yes we do offer free battery installation on most products with purchase. We will also recycle and test your battery for free regardless if you bought it from us. Battery testing and installation is available at most of our locations.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
