We rented a vehicle and had to utilize roadside assistance for a mechanical issue. Roadside assistance picked up the vehicle, however we were not provided with a different rental vehicle. After several hours and attempts of rectifying the issue with roadside assistance, I was advised that I wouldn’t be able to get a replacement rental because the rental offices has closed. The next morning, I had to get a ride to an Enterprise branch location to get a replacement rental vehicle. Throughout the process, the customer service provided by roadside assistance was absolutely horrible. The only reason I did not give a 1 star review is because Enterprise credited me for the day that I did not have a replacement rental.

The customer service received from Enterprise was top notch! From the counter interaction, to the person to person experience as well as the over the phone service received were all great. The area that should receive attention is the cleaning/detailing of the vehicle. The vehicle I received should not have been turned over to a customer. The smell inside of the vehicle was really bad. It smell like vomit. There were also residue of some sort in the cup holder could very well be dried up vomit but I’m NOT certain. I’m only speaking from my thoughts. Anyway, I noticed the scent upon getting in the vehicle but I thought to myself it’s probably just the vent and it would go away. I had the vehicle for four days and every bit of those four days the scent was there. Also, as I drove out of the airport the gas gage dropped so whomever had it before probably filled it then drove a good distance to get to the airport. Certainly NOT Enterprise fault but they were understanding when I called like five minutes after I drove out of the airport and they allowed me to return it less than full so I was happy about that. Overall, I would rent again from Enterprise but a little more attention to detail should be given while cleaning/detailing the vehicles.

I try to rent from ER-a-C for most of my rentals. When I picked up the car in Tampa, I told the team at the airport check-out that the vehicle was pulling hard to the right. The young lady stepped forward, and she said, "ma'am we recommend that we change your vehicle". I told them I would do what they suggested. My passenger took 4 tries to open the passenger side door to exit. The young man delivered the same vehicle to me at the kiosk and helped transfer the luggage with a smile. The ladies at the check-out kiosk were just as nice. The young man said "if you struggled to get out of the car on that side it is good that you changed". I had a lot of FL driving to do over the week and I was very happy that those employees cared enough to ask to change the vehicle. First quarter of 2026 FL, HI, CA, FL, OH. Lots of Enterprise rentals.

I don't travel as much as I used to, but had always, and still do, use Enterprise exclusively. They have always been the best value for the price, clean comfortable cars, and availability when you reserve even when they don't require you to pay in advance. The only hiccup I had this time was the damage to the car, that was already there and apprently everyone knew it but me. When I arrived to pick up my car, the agents in the airport and at the car rental site were very nice and helpful. The agent at the rental terminal stated " here's the row of standard SUV's, pick any you want, keys are in it, and you are good to go". Now, I have always performed a walk around with agents previously, and I mean always, for my safety and theirs. But, by the time I picked a car, I couldn't find anyone for a walk around. It was late, dark, and although I was a bit concerned, I was in a hurry and went ahead and left. I was very upset with myself for doing so as soon as I got to my hotel. There on the back drivers side bumper were four or five large, horizontal scratches. "How could this have happened I wondered, just great, they are going to try to charge me". I had gone straight to the hotel, so I knew it wasn't me. After taking pictures and fretting all weekend (I only had the rental Friday night to Monday monring) Sunday night I found the form that "should have been completed" (completed it - pic attached) with a walkaround and a place for an agents signature. It also noted "damage to plastic bumpers are not billable". Well, that would've been nice to know, but I still wasn't sure they weren't going to try to charge me for the damage. When drop the car off Monday morning, I tell the agent about the scratches. He immediately looked at the door frame motioned to a sticker on the frame that apparently indicated to him that scratches had been there. WOW... this could have saved me a LOT OF WORRY Enterprise. The car was clean, nice and performed perfectly, but my experience would have been much better if the damage was communicated to me when I picked up the vehicle. That's why I am giving 3 starts instead of 5, for the lack of communication when a car has damage. CHECK your car people, and ask questions, no matter if they say you are good to go or not. It will save you money and stress either way. SWatson

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so bad it deserves to be called out. My time dealing with Enterprise was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. On two separate visits, I dealt with different managers—and both were shockingly rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful during what was already a stressful situation. The vehicle I was given was unsafe. A panel trim was literally hanging down into the footwell, interfering with the brake and gas pedals. It actually caught on my shoe while driving and nearly caused an accident. That alone should have been taken seriously and addressed immediately—but it wasn’t. Before returning, I went out of my way to do everything right. I stopped at two Enterprise locations and even called customer service, where I was clearly assured I’d receive a similar size replacement vehicle. Instead, I was met with attitude, impatience, and zero accountability. To make matters worse, I watched other customers walk in and get their vehicles swapped out—no problem—and even upgraded to SUVs. When I asked for the same basic level of service, I was brushed off and handed a sedan that didn’t meet my needs. Because of that, I had to cancel prepaid dinner reservations. The way I was treated was completely unacceptable—condescending, unprofessional, and honestly degrading. No customer should be made to feel like they’re a burden for asking for safety and fairness. If this is how Enterprise chooses to operate, they’re going to lose customers quickly. I will not rent from them again unless I absolutely have no other choice. Easily one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had.
