The service was excellent. I cannot recall the name of the gentleman who assisted with check-in, but he was very pleasant and did not pressure me into any additional services. The Elantra I received was in excellent condition, almost like new. However, the most outstanding part of my experience was with Dominic at the drop-off. She was incredibly charismatic, explained everything clearly, and alleviated all the typical concerns one might have when renting a car. She truly deserves a perfect score 10.

ESPAÑOL: NO usen esta compañía, pueden ser estafados. hice mi reserva por internet con todo lo que requería, vehículo y seguros costo USD $432. al llegar al mostrador me hicieron firmar un documento. Cuando entregó el vehículo me dicen que todo está bien, pero ese mismo día hicieron otro cargo a mi tarjeta por USD$241. Hago la reclamación y me dicen que yo solicité los otros cargos. ES FALSO. Firmas y te argumentan un contrato del cual no fuiste consiente o no es verdad. No es lógico que reserves vehículo con seguros y luego te adicionen otros más que no solicitas. No te entregan el vehículo totalmente lleno, lo entregas en el mismo nivel y te cobran USD$80 ¿acaso el cliente se los cobra cuando recibe el vehículo?. CUIDADO ESTAFA. en el mostrador se muestran amables pero todo lo tienen previsto, inicié reclamación y sus respuestas lo confirman.

DO NOT use this company; you can be scammed. I made my reservation online with everything I needed: vehicle and insurance. The cost was USD $432. When I arrived at the counter, they made me sign a document. When I returned the vehicle, they told me everything was fine, but that same day they charged my card another USD $241. I filed a complaint, and they told me I had requested the additional charges. THIS IS FALSE. You sign, and they present you with a contract you weren't aware of or that isn't true. It's illogical to reserve a vehicle with insurance and then have them add other insurance you didn't request. They don't deliver the vehicle fully loaded; you return it with the same level of coverage, and they charge you USD $80. Does the customer pay for this when they receive the vehicle? BEWARE OF THIS SCAM. The staff at the counter are friendly, but they have everything planned out. I filed a complaint, and their responses confirm it..

This company was great at pick up, but know I think now it was a scam. They offered to upgrade and I accepted. They made sure I gave them a review at pickup which you see the response to below. Then at return they said I damaged a mirror that folds in. No one looked over the vehicle with me before I left at pick up. I know I did not do the damage they're claiming. When I told them this at return they said all I had to say when I was contacted was that "I wasn't responsible for the scratch on the mirror." I did this and after some back and forth the representative from the claims office told me "that's not how it works," and she'd speak with her manager. She then told me that since it was minor they would let it go! So they were going to make me pay for something they felt was minor in the first place???? I was told they'd email me a canceled invoice stating I do not owe for the damage. (BTW, these supposed damages-no one else actually saw them at return or in the pictures sent.) The statement emailed is unclear and should just simply say zero balance and customer is not required to pay. But it doesn't say that. Why is this so difficult?? I'll never use this company again or recommended. Which is sad because Anthony in Tampa at our pickup was very helpful.

DECEPTIVE BAIT-AND-SWITCH; BAD FAITH CANCELLATION TRAP
Avoid Sixt at all costs. They utilize a "delay and trap" tactic to bypass cancellation windows and trigger 100% "no-show" penalties, even during Force Majeure (act of God) events.
The Scheme:
I pre-reserved a rental in Tampa, but Winter Storm Fern canceled my flights initiating my work trip. I notified Sixt days in advance of the storm and the cancellation. Their customer service explicitly instructed me NOT to cancel, promising they would handle the refund "on their end" with Expedia. I have this promise in writing via their own chat transcripts.
The Trap:
They intentionally waited until the 24-hour penalty window expired and the rental start-time passed. Only then did they notify Expedia that they were refusing the refund and charging me 100% of the cost. They induced me to wait out the clock so they could legally steal the full rental amount.
The Reality:
Even 30+ days later, Sixt is still sending "we are talking to Expedia" scripts. This is the definition of bad faith and promissory estoppel. Expedia eventually had to eat 80% of the cost because they realized Sixt’s behavior was indefensible.
To Sixt:
I have already forwarded my documentation and transcripts to the law firms responsible for your previous $11M class-action settlements and your legal department. I don’t care if you refund me 100% at this point; I am keeping my evidence ready for the next class action. Your lack of professional integrity is pathetic.
STAY AWAY. Use a company that doesn't rely on deceptive traps to make a profit.

I rented a vehicle for 6 days from Sixt Tampa Airport. The car had a nail in the sidewall right passenger tire that had been slowly leaking, which I didn't find out about until the next day (the leak was slow and probably been there for a while, according to the mechanics who eventually fixed it) -- I was stuck trying to fix it with little help from Sixt Roadside Assistance, which kept me on hold for close to an hour and dropped my call several times while trying to find some local "tire fix" places in the rather rural area near Homosassa where I was visiting with family. The numbers Sixt Roadside provided me were to local men who wanted to meet me in random empty lots where they said they would patch the tire. I knew the tire needed to be replaced due to the location of the nail, so I had to spend another hour on the phone with Roadside Assistance while they figured out what to have me do. Finally they approved me taking the vehicle to a local Pep Boys the following day -- the car was not really usable with such damage making it unsafe to drive, but nobody offered to credit me for the inconvenience. At Pep Boys on day 3 of having the vehicle, they and I spent over an hour and a half on hold and our calls being dropped several times as we waited for someone to come up with a PO number to authorize the shop to replace the tire. When I dropped the vehicle at the end of my rental period, the assistant did not want to do an inspection of the vehicle, despite my request to do so, claiming it was "all good". I spoke with the gentleman at the kiosk on location, and he confirmed that they had the paperwork verifying that the tire had been changed to their satisfaction, and again I was told an inspection was not necessary. In retrospect I should have not left without demanding an inspection, because now Sixt is trying to charge me for "a hole in the right passenger tire", claiming damage on February 14th -- the very damage I informed them about and struggled with them to have them cover the cost of fixing! They claim the tire has a hole (it did not as it was a new tire when I dropped it off and it was in new condition) and they lost use of the vehicle -- which is outrageous, since it was ME who had lost use of the vehicle while I rented it. I am lodging a complaint with the BBB against Sixt and warn everyone to not do business with this company. Now that I have done some more research into Sixt's customer service record, I see they have a history of charging customers for nonexistant damage. Beware, renters!
