    Very disappointing customer service experience I booked a Fullsize Elite package with Sixt specifically because I wanted a BMW 4 Series Convertible or a similar model. When I arrived to pick up the car, the representative told me the vehicle wasn’t available and immediately suggested either downgrading to a Mustang or upgrading to a Mercedes CLE—with me paying more for the upgrade. I explained calmly that since the car I reserved wasn’t available, offering the upgrade as a courtesy would be fair. Instead of trying to help, the representative responded with a rude “No, it’s not possible,” without any effort to find a solution. The surprising part? When he called the delivery team downstairs, they told him the upgrade was possible. Only then was he forced to proceed with it—confirming that the dismissive attitude and refusal weren’t necessary at all. In today’s world, where customers have endless options, good service matters more than ever. A small gesture of professionalism or empathy could have turned this into a positive experience. Instead, it left me frustrated and disappointed. Sixt markets itself as a premium rental company, but this experience did not reflect that in any way. I hope Sixt takes customer service more seriously, because interactions like this directly affect trust and loyalty.

    This was our third time using sixt. Great customer service. Fast and easy check out and car return! My new favorite car rental company. Also, all of their cars are well taken care off and very new.

    Completely ridiculous reservation system! It let me book a reservation on January 1, 2026 but when I called to confirm they said they are closed! Why would you let me book a car rental reservation when the place to pickup is closed! Never again will I do business with these idiots who don’t know how to run a business!

    ridiculous charges for minor things that would never draw an eye at other rental facilities. 1650 for a cosmetic scratch that was already there. I have never been taken for such a huge amount of money over something so ridiculous, and the pictures they use as "proof" are blurry and full of glare. avoid at all costs, or at the very least take a careful video of literally every single little part of the car if they try to charge you obscene amounts for nothing.

    staff at pick up was friendly and attentive. no issues with customer service at all. however, upon return of the car i received an email that damage was identified. i knew for a fact i had not damaged the car whatsoever and kicked myself for forgetting to take photos. HOWEVER! i went back to my rental agreement and discovered the damage was pre existing as it was listed in the previous damages. how am i made to be responsible for something that was already there? i will be fighting this but as a cautionary warning to all make sure you document every angle of the car and review the previous damages in case there is something damaged that is not listed. here’s to hoping someone acknowledges this and i can receive my $200 deposit back soon.
