ABSOLUTELY the worst experience I’ve ever had with any Cummins shop in the entire country.
This location is an absolute disaster from top to bottom. We brought in our directional drill for a brand-new motor installation. The machine had been running perfectly for years before it came to them. When we got it back, a major bracket in the motor bay had been broken during installation. Instead of fixing it correctly, someone attempted to patch it with epoxy — and now management claims they “don’t use epoxy,” which is unbelievable considering what we found.
The first time we ran the drill — literally within the first couple of hours — the hydraulic mount bracket failed. We brought it to Michigan, where Cummins sent their techs out. They said they do no hydraulic work whatsoever. Ditch Witch came out afterward and immediately confirmed that the damage was absolutely caused during the motor install.
Cummins originally told me not to pay that bill and that they would “take care of it.”
Three months went by with zero action.
Then, after all that, they suddenly claimed they “don’t order those parts” and wouldn’t cover the repair. At that point I said fine — I’ll just pay the $2,300 and be done with it.
Now I’m getting calls from the SAME Cummins location they told me to contact — the one that already said they can’t touch anything involving hydraulics — trying to bill me again.
When I called back to the original Cummins shop, the staff was rude, dismissive, and made it clear they didn’t care at all. The entire management team acts like they have no idea what’s going on. No ownership, no communication, no professionalism.
This shop is a complete clown show. Disorganized, unprofessional, and absolutely careless with customer equipment. After this experience, I wouldn’t trust them to work on a lawn mower, let alone a commercial drill.
Save yourself the time, money, and frustration — go anywhere else.
