I am leaving this review because my recent experience with AutoZone was truly a blessing. My car battery died at a Wawa near the store, and a friend and I went in to purchase jumper cables. Unfortunately, we later found out my Jeep requires more voltage, so the cables didn’t work.
We returned to the store feeling frustrated, and the store manager, Ladonde Pulley, immediately noticed. She took the time to look for another set of jumper cables that might work. When the store didn’t have any available, she went above and beyond—she personally drove to my car and helped jump-start it herself.
While this may not be standard practice, her kindness, patience, and willingness to help meant everything to me. I was moments away from paying for a tow, but because of her help, I was able to drive my car directly to my mechanic and get a new battery.
This happened early in the morning, in 32-degree weather. When I tried to tip her, she kindly declined and said, “No thank you, this is what we’re here for.” That level of customer service is rare and deeply appreciated.
Thank you, Ladonde, for your compassion and outstanding service. I even took a picture of her name tag so I could be sure to recognize her in this review. AutoZone is lucky to have her.
