  I travel ALOT, and have rented hundreds of cars from rental companies (including other Alamo Agencies), and by far, this was ABSOLUTELY the BEST rental car experience I have EVER had in my ENTIRE life!!! From the moment I walked up at the airport counter, all the way through the drive up drop off was TOP NOTCH!!! EVERY single employee was friendly, helpful, professional, courteous, eager and willing to assist without me even asking. The process was SMOOTH and EFFORTFESS!!! The price was also theeee most competitive, and I loved the fact that I was able to walk out and choose among 15 plus SUVs, all pretty much brand new! Thank you for the AMAZING and AFFORDABLE service!!! I will definitely use this Alamo location next time I fly or cruise into Tampa.

  I reserved a car online and when I showed up they did not have any of the cars that I requested. When I arrived, the customer service agent in the airport told me “we only have mini vans”. I obliged to a minivan as that was my only means of transportation. Went downstairs to get the minivan, and I met and angel named José. He worked downstairs at the rental car pickup station, floor 1 of the Tampa airport. He saved me hundreds of dollars (literally hundreds) on a rental car after he recognized that I could get a better deal than the agent that signed me up upstairs had given me. Within 5 minutes (I mean 5 minutes) he had my new rate ready for my approval and I did NOT leave in a minivan.. I had a safe trip in a very reliable vehicle that I was extremely comfortable in (I had my choice between 2 different makes of vehicles) for an amazing price I did not even see advertised online (this includes bumper to bumper insurance AND I brought the vehicle back without filling up). THANK YOU for the excellent customer service. I was greeted so kindly at 1:00 AM by the staff (Jose and manager) and when I got a great car at a great rate within minutes, it felt like they rolled out the red carpet for me. I appreciate my experience doing business here and I believe they deserve recognition for their performance.

  I recently reserved a BMW X5 or Mercedes GLE through the “Skip the Counter” option. Unfortunately, I was downgraded to an Audi Q3, and the staff member at the airport wasn’t very helpful in directing me to the right pickup area or explaining the situation. However, my drop-off experience completely turned things around. The manager, Cory Zory, was very professional and kind—he offered a free upgrade for my next reservation, which I truly appreciate. The return process was smooth, and the staff on site were very helpful and courteous. Overall, despite the initial inconvenience, the great customer service during drop-off and the manager’s gesture made up for it. I’ll definitely rent again, hoping for a smoother pickup experience next time.

  Had an amazing experience from start to finish! I had been 6 hours delayed for my flight and when I arrived the car I had booked was taken and I was given an alternative and I was so disappointed. It was my son’s birthday and my interaction with Rhonda from TPA was phenomenal she went above and Beyond to rectify the situation. She found a car for me that was comparable even though there is a shortage and made sure it was kept for me and my son. She made me and my son feel very special! Interactions like this make customers return! I will return! shout out to Jose also he was so kind!!!!!

  On October 18th I was on a JetBlue flight that was diverted from Fort Myers to Tampa as a result of a runway incident that had occurred at Fort Myers. The flight crew and airline representatives had very little information about when or how we would be able to make it to Fort Myers and said that we should just wait near the gate where we had arrived in Tampa and they should be able to give us a better idea of their plan in two to four hours. But, at the same time they made us leave the plane, locked the plane, and sent our luggage to baggage claim. With the lack of information from the airline and uncertain timeline for continuing on to Fort Myers I decided to see if Alamo could alter my reservation to allow me to pick up my previously reserved car in Tampa instead of Fort Myers. (Note: I was not holding out much hope that this would be possible because on the Alamo website and App it said that there were no cars available for rent in Tampa.) However, when I called Alamo and explained my situation the representative could not have been more kind, compassionate and understanding. She assured me that she would transfer my reservation and that when I arrived at the rental desk I would just have to provide my name and the rep at the desk would be able to see my modified reservation. Again, I was holding my breath that what was being said would actually happen. But when I arrived at the desk they were aware of my modified reservation and what was happening with the JetBlue flight. Both the desk rep and the manager spoke with me and both were extremely professional, and kind. The paperwork proceeded smoothly and I was on my way to the garage. When I arrived at the garage I was greeted by another Alamo employee who was very friendly, upbeat and had a very positive attitude. He helped me pick the car and I was on my way in no time. What a tremendous experience with Alamo. I really felt that everyone listened to me, were compassionate, and did their best to make a bad situation better. This type of care and commitment is so rare now, and it is in dramatic contrast to the lack of caring exhibited by the JetBlue staff. Every Alamo employee I interacted with that day was fantastic! I feel bad that I did not get each of their names so that I could acknowledge their efforts and let them know just how much I appreciated their efforts and let them know just how much their caring, compassion and professionalism helped and touched me on that challenging day. Anyway, regretfully, I had been so focused on trying to get to my destination that I did not note their names. So, please accept a general Thank-you to Alamo for your wonderful service!! I have already reserved another car with Alamo for next month and Alamo will be my go-to rental Agency from now on.
