    I went into Advance Auto Parts for a free battery test on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. I asked the salesclerk, Alvaro, to assist me with this help. He was eager to help out and grabbed his battery tester device. It came to his attention that I had a measured 270 CCA when the battery should be at a rated 650 CCA. He offered to help me purchase a battery there, but I told him my two-month-old battery was under warranty where I purchased it, and that I would get a free replacement though that business. Nonetheless, Alvaro gave me the peace of mind that it was not my electrical wiring or transmission but the failure of my car to keep a charge from my defective battery. I was really appreciative of him and his efficiency in finding out the problem. On Friday, October 3, 2025, I decided to make a pit stop back to Advance Auto Parts to check my current battery status. Once I stepped inside, I saw Alvaro, and he immediately recognized me and greeted me. I told him I wanted to test the battery again to make sure the place where I got the new battery from was not defective as well. My battery measured at 754 CCA, and we were both pleased with the results. The peace of mind knowing my new battery is in good shape gave me the confidence that my car is going to start up the first time and not be jumped like when it was last time back in July just to drive to Advance Auto Parts to be looked at. Alvaro gave me that piece of mind and the time to assist me again without hesitation to check my battery. Advance Auto Parts employees of that caliber also give me the confidence that the next time I need something for my vehicle, I will be treated the way I was treated twice by excellent employees like Alvaro at Advance Auto Parts. Thank you so much for your assistance, Alvaro! Please let him know Matt says 'thank you' again and that you need more employees with his same pedigree towards their customers. I hope you give Alvaro recognition that his excellent customer service keeps customers like me wanting to be repeated customers because of positive encounters like I have had twice at this building. If employees are told when they do a good job going above and beyond what is expected of them, they are more likely to want to do it again in the future. It may even increase the employee's moral for the future encounters with other customers. I am an Advance Auto Parts customer for the long haul, especially this Advance Auto Parts store which is very close to my home.
