- COChris “Oz” Oskin6 days ago5.0Needed a battery on 3/1/26. We came in got a battery and we’re out within 8 minutes! I had to bring the old one back a half hour later for the core money which was no problem at all! The lady that helped up (I don’t recall her name) was working at the farthest computer/register from the front door, right next to the batteries. She was the perfection of customer service! Advanced Auto is getting her at a discount, I don’t care what her wage is. Whenever I need something I will go directly to that store and look directly for her to help me, because she’s knows her work, is customer centered and gets things done! That’s essentially what most people want. As a joke I literally hopped and skipped from her desk out the front door just to help return the smile she left me with! Advanced mgmt. look me up on Linked In and you’ll take my words seriously… hire more like her and your stock will be worth more than Auto Zone in no time!!

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
