  I have been traveling to Tallahassee for the last two months. My travel days are sometimes long, but have to say when I arrive at the National Car Rental in Tallahassee FL International Airport, Toni and Blaze makes the trip more uplifting with their amazing customer service. I observe how hectic it can be with so many customers in town for the college football games, these two definitely always have a smile on their faces and do their best to make sure every National customer is satisfied! I travel a lot for work and National is my go to for rental cars, these two customer service representatives are some of the best for National Car Rental!

  I recently rented a vehicle from the National Car Rental location at Tallahassee Airport (August 28 – September 1, 2025), using my reward days for what was supposed to be a Premium AWD SUV. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The vehicle I was given was not AWD, despite my reservation. The sunroof was broken, and pieces of it fell into the cabin while I was driving. The vehicle ran rough throughout the rental. The rear wiper had no blade at all, and the front wipers were in such poor condition they barely cleared the windshield in the rain—making the car unsafe to drive. When I returned the vehicle, I reported all of these issues. I was assured that the manager would restore my reward days and refund the taxes/fees I had paid. After several back-and-forth conversations with the location manager, I was told the issue would be resolved by the following week. Weeks later, not only has nothing been corrected, but my account was inconsistently charged and refunded and then charged again. To make matters worse, I stopped receiving any communication from the manager or the location, and my follow-ups with National customer service have gone unanswered or led to unfulfilled promises of a callback. As someone who travels weekly for work and has rented exclusively from National for over a year, I expected much better. My company even uses National as a preferred rental vendor, but after this experience, I will be strongly recommending they reconsider. National failed to provide the vehicle class I reserved, gave me an unsafe car, mishandled my account, and has shown little accountability in resolving the issue. Very disappointing experience, and I cannot recommend this location.
