  I had a really bad experience with mikes garage and will never go near the place again. Some time ago I brought my car in for broken headlight and some damage to the front bumper. He asked for a $500 deposit which I paid because he said it would be done in a week or so. I was young and naive to trust that and Mike absolutely zeroed in on that vulnerability. He gave me the runaround for almost two months. I would call every week for an update and was told it would be done soon with progress reports on how the repairs were doing. It was always some new excuse like shipping deliveries or oops they sent the wrong shade of red! Eventually he told me the cold air prevented the paint from settling but the repairs were all done. It was such a silly excuse that I decided to search the lot for myself. Sure enough there was my car tucked in the back untouched and covered in dust. He never did any repairs and lied to me the whole time while taking my deposit. I confronted him and asked for the money back and he said he sent it and it would come into my account in two days. I promptly asked him to put that in writing. Good thing I did because it never came and I had to call my bank to report it as fraud. I can understand that body repairs take a long time and getting the parts can be hassle, but Mike took my deposit and lied to me for months while making promises that he was almost done. In that time I could have rented a car or driven mine in the daytime at least while I waited for the parts to come in. Instead I had no transportation for over a month and it was all due to his dishonesty. The shop might be decent, but Mike is a bad guy.

  I am writing to report a deeply frustrating and costly experience I have had with Mike’s Garage regarding repeated failed repair work on my 2015 Jeep Renegade. I am seeking assistance in recovering my money and holding this business accountable for what appears to be incompetence and possible dishonesty. A few weeks ago, I took my vehicle to Mike’s Garage due to an overheating issue. I was charged approximately $700 for replacement of the engine coils and spark plugs—components which, I later confirmed, were already brand new at the time of service. After paying this significant amount, I was assured the problem was resolved. However, the vehicle overheated again the very same day. I returned the car, and the garage claimed they had “missed a leak.” They supposedly repaired it and reassured me there would be no further issues. Within days, the car overheated yet again. I brought it back a third time, as I could not justify being out $700 with no resolution. I was told a part had to be “overnighted from Jeep,” so I waited patiently for yet another round of repairs. When I collected my car and drove only a short distance—to a nail salon, of all places—it overheated once more. I contacted the garage again, and the owner instructed me to bring it in “Sunday night” so he could take apart the entire coolant system, insisting there were “no leaks.” Shortly thereafter, he changed his story and mentioned a supposed “third-party company” called Skyland Enterprise would be involved. During the phone call, he was evasive and stuttering, and refused to provide any contact information for this mysterious company—claiming only he could speak to them directly. At this point, my car is in worse condition than when I first brought it in. Initially, the coolant leaked slowly; now it flows straight through the reservoir with no hold whatsoever. My vehicle is essentially undrivable, and I am out hundreds of dollars for repairs that not only failed to fix the issue but made it dramatically worse. This experience has left me feeling taken advantage of, misled, and financially burdened. I believe Mike’s Garage has acted negligently, and possibly dishonestly.

  Just got my catalytic converter replaced! I've gone to Mike from the get-go here in Tallahassee. He is a man of integrity, and his team is wonderfully polite.
