Let me begin by saying that this store is the worst auto shop I have ever visited. It all started on Sunday when I took my car to the shop to have it serviced by a young lady whose name I do not know. I asked her if she could please test my car battery, explaining that I had a vehicle speaker installed in my Jeep, which I believed was causing my battery to drain. She proceeded to check my battery with a machine and informed me that it was low and that I needed a new starter for my 2022 Jeep Wrangler. I asked her if she could provide me with a price so that I could place an order for the replacement, as I needed to get to work. She quoted me approximately $230. I agreed, and she mentioned that if I paid for it now, I would have the part by Tuesday. I told her I would go home and discuss the issue with my wife. When I got home, I explained the situation to my wife, and we decided to go ahead with the repair since I needed to commute to work. The next day, however, my vehicle wouldn’t start, so I had to take an Uber to work. This was not a major issue, but I called AutoZone to order the part, only to be told that it wouldn’t arrive until Friday. This news was quite disappointing. I then contacted my local mechanic, who was able to obtain the part from Advance Auto Parts and fix my car by Tuesday. When Tuesday arrived, my mechanic replaced the part and informed me that it wasn’t the starter that was the problem; it was actually my battery, which had no cells left. Consequently, I ended up spending $600 on Uber rides to work, as well as for the new starter and labor for my car. I had to ask my wife to drive my car back to AutoZone to get a new battery. I called to explain my situation to another employee and requested to speak to the manager, as I was quite frustrated. A man named Aaron answered the phone and identified himself as the manager. I said it was nice to talk to him and proceeded to explain my story, asking for the name of the young lady who had informed me about the starter. He explained to me that there was no one matching the description I provided who worked there. I found that strange. He then asked me to give him my information so he could look it up, which I had already done, in order to leave a message for the store manager named Keith. I agreed to provide my information and mentioned that my wife should be at the store with my vehicle to replace the battery since I am still at work, an hour away from home. He responded that he thought she was there. I thanked him and wished him a good night. I realize this story is quite lengthy, and I am very frustrated about having spent unnecessary money on parts I didn't actually need when I really required someone at this job to perform their duties properly. I hope that Keith, the manager, can return my call tomorrow. P.S. I believe Aaron was a manager based on the store sign my wife sent me, but I could be mistaken; I'm just going by what I see.

After a disastrous experience visiting pep boys to try to get my battery changed, I was mentally preparing myself for another long, drawn out, overly expensive, and frustrating process to actually get it done. The entire process from checkout to leaving- including installing my battery, took less than 15 minutes. Staff was very friendly and professional. I wish I’d just gone here to begin with!
