- GGGreenmyguy3 days ago5.0I got my car checked at dealership, they said my battery was fine. I new that wasn't the case cause my car did not want start two times. I had to jump start it. When i got it checked out at advanced auto the battery was in the red, it needed to be replaced. The dealership lied. Advanced auto replaced my battery with in minutes, no long waits. I'm so happy. Thanks especially to Brian who took care of me. Brian did a great job he was proffessional and courteous.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
