- KRKW57 Rx8Dr.Jan 22, 20265.0I've been going to previously discount auto parts for decades and previously they even sponsored a race car I drove set track records and won with at SCCA events that was mostly built and maintained with discount auto parts and when they made the changeover I've continued to use advanced as well. The south store in Sebring is full of people who don't care about customer service, when I had no choice but to bring my SUV there to have my battery checked when I knew what the problem was because as I said I'm very automotive savvy and the battery had dead cells which would produce voltage but not amperage to start the vehicle, their own test said it had 12 volts but only 91 amps, all I got was an argument and insults from the south store (Alex, the manager more specifically) so bought a battery since I had no choice and brought the old battery which was a newer diehard to the north store and they checked it and it showed to be no good, then brought it back to the south store and got more run around and rudeness so returned to the north store where Blair handled it for me and gave me a full refund. This is not common customer service anymore these days and required me to send a shout out for the north store which will always get my business from now on when the south store could have chased a long time customer completely away.. I've literally spent $10,000 and likely more dollars with them over the years in all of the vehicles I've repaired and maintained, to trash a long time customer and make their life a hassle over such a petty thing after years of loyal patronage is ludacris, short term business practice..

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
