  I 100% am telling you not to rent a vehicle from this place. I just returned my rental yesterday from the Sarasota location. There is a reason they have no line. The car didn’t work, it shook when you hit 50 mph. The 3rd row seats didn’t fold down and I called 3x to get it resolved. They told me to come in, I did and no one answered (waste of a 30 minute drive each way with 2 small kids). ***to top it off they are charging me for .5 mm “scratches” they found!!! This could be from rocks and normal driving. ***update they want $1,300 for this photo! They are a scam!!! Again, beware!

  Had a fantastic rental experience with SIXT at SRQ airport. The agents were so helpful and there was no wait. I was pulling out of the airport while other people on my flight were still in the other companies' lines. Roadside assistance was also great. I called in twice on an issue and the ladies on the phone were very helpful. Will use SIXT whenever possible!

  My original car that I rented on 1/20 started to have issues on 1/22. The oil change light came on and I didn’t feel safe driving it like that. I called Sarasota since they were closest to me. I went ahead and called the 1-800 number prior to arriving for the pick up to make it easier for mutual parties. The agent at Sarasota proceeds to tell me that it was pointless to call when everything could have just been done on the spot. I tell her I’m unfamiliar with the process and I just wanted to cover all bases. I explain to her that now that I’m downgrading due to the original vehicle having issues that I would like the price adjusted to reflect the price of a sedan per day not the suv that I had originally rented. After over 40 minutes the agent tells me to call Newark as they will be the ones to assist which makes no sense since it’s all one company anyways. Not only that I paid for unlimited tolls on my original rental agreement and in Sarasota they were still charging me per day and for an upgrade that was not disclosed to me when I questioned it the agent in Sarasota again told me to contact Newark and that “there was nothing else she could do”. I called the 1-800 number for assistance prior to dropping off to see if they were something that could be done from the companies end and I was assured that a manager would call me back on 1/23 and no one did. This call took place around 10am EST and as a company there was no follow up, bad communication and most importantly no accountability to address customer concerns.
