- CBCarrie BestNov 27, 20231.0Folks here were very nice at first. We rented a 26' "Luxury" Sunchaser Triton with 150hp for half day/afternoon. There was only a 10% chance of rain that day. We got out onto the water about 30 minutes from the marina, before we were able to get all of our gear situated. Went to plug in our phone for music, no electric. No electric for navigation, no electric for depth finder .. nothing. I called the marina and the guy said "oh yeah, the electric is out on that boat. These folks should have told us that before we spent 450$ for a 'luxury' boat for 4 hours (there were other boats available). About an hour into the trip thunderstorms broke out and it got very dark. None of the required safety lights on the boat worked (electric was out!) and we had no navigation. Had to come back due to extreme weather and got back into the dock at 145pm or so. Talked to the staff about compromising on the cost of the boat due to it not being a "luxury" boat and the safety concerns we had and they were unwilling to come off the cost. I know the weather included in the contract, but the boat was not what we were told we were renting. Wont rent from these folks again.
