  Horrible experience with defective battery! To be clear, the people At this location are great. However, less than a year after they installed a duralast battery in my car, the battery leaked, which destroyed the positive electrical cable to my car, and since that cable runs down to the starter, I had to replace the starter as well. I get that the warranty (something like 3 or 4 years on the battery i bought) covers replacement of the battery if it fails to charge. But to take ZERO responsibility for the $2,000 in damage that the battery caused is wrong. Jhoann, the area manager, gave a very disingenuous "sorry, the company won't cover anything but refunding the battery" answer. He kept saying that the alternator caused it. By the way, the alternator was tested, and reading within normal range, no overcharging. The battery terminal appeared to have separated from the housing, but according to Jhoann, they "couldn't find any evidence that the battery leaked or was defective". Tried to call corporate to get a clearer answer, and they just had Jhoann call me again. I like Autozone, but I will never again buy a Duralast battery. When my car arrived at the dealership, without even popping the hood, when I explained that a <year old battery leaked and damaged the cable (didn't know about the starter yet), they said "did you by chance put a Duralast battery in it?". They have seen this before. BEWARE OF BUYING DURALAST! Pictures attached, so you can decide for yourself if putting a Duralast in your vehicle is worth the risk! (What can't be seen in the photos is where the battery leakage destroyed the connection to the starter itself, but you can see the corrosion around the rest of the unit.) I hope this review helps save someone else this headache and pain to their wallet. In my opinion, buy an Interstate battery.

  Horrible, horrible no service. How can I give them a negative rating? It wasn't even poor service; it was complete disrespect to a customer. I walked in today looking for a battery. There were 3 people behind the counter, 2 women and 1 man and I was the only customer in the store. Nobody looked up at me, no hello, no how are you, no “how can I help you” ...nothing. I walked past the 2 women and asked the man for help to find a battery, he said nothing to me, he yelled over at one of the women to help me. She was clearly irritated and useless. She could care less about what I wanted, unfriendly, disrespectful, shocking...I've seen bad customer service in my life, but this was a whole new level. I was the only customer in the store and none of them could have given a damn about what I wanted. It was shocking, how is the rating at this store on Google a 4.6? No way. Jerks. They are a bunch of jerks. I walked out. Unbelievable. I don’t have to put up with being treated like this, these jerks should all be fired.

  Terrible customer service, I walked in the store asking if an employee would take a look to see what kind of part I would need for a broken gas tank lid, guy said he can't offer advice on parts "this is auto zone my man" is what he said. Since when does AutoZone not offer advice on what parts you might need to fix the issue? He wouldn't come out to my car at all, or even try not listen what I had to say so I left.
