Quality customer service is rare these days, so rare I had to post about an interaction I had with a younger gentleman named Ayden. As I was strolling through the store looking for everything I needed, I could see he was on the phone with a customer for a while who was clearly doing a lot of back and forth with him, and asking a bunch of questions. As I got everything I needed, but one thing, I waited at the register to ask for a part lookup. Based on what I was hearing, there was no sight of how long the conversation was going to take. Ayden saw me standing there and asked the guy on the phone if he could hold for a second. He then proceeded to ask me if I needed any help, to which I said I just needed to have an oil filter looked up. He proceeded to look up the filter, and gave me the correct part number, and even offered to go get it for me, which I politely declined. He was also very respectful to myself, and the guy on the phone, and I thought he handled the situation perfectly. These days, you dont see that often. You walk into stores where cashiers are just on their phones, or doing something else, and dont even acknowledge you standing in line, until theyre done doing what they're doing, regardless of how long it takes. It was quite refreshing to see that he just acknowledged that a customer was standing there, let alone while he was dealing with another customer, and was able to help both of us. Autozone should be proud to have an employee who carries themselves so well, is professional, understands customer service, and can multi-task. Thanks Ayden!
