They offered a “free alignment inspection,” which turned into them doing a full alignment without calling me first — but luckily I had the money to pay it and didn’t mind getting it done if it needed it, though a heads up would’ve been nice. After picking up my SUV, it immediately started pulling hard to the right, worse than before. When I mentioned it, they blamed the road and didn’t look any further. Later, my personal mechanic checked it out and found that my ball joints were bad — something Mavis should have seen and told me about before doing the alignment. He even said they shouldn’t have aligned it at all in that condition. I called Mavis, and they told me once the ball joints were fixed, I could bring it back for a free re-alignment within 90 days. So I did exactly that. But the second time, the tech wrote in the notes that the right lower ball joint wasn’t pressed all the way into the control arm and that my “rear camber [was] maxed out.” Despite seeing that issue, they still went ahead and aligned it again — and only afterward noted “no more free alignments.” So not once, but twice, this shop performed an alignment while something was clearly wrong with the suspension — and never stopped to explain the problem first. That’s not professional, and it wastes the customer’s time and money. I’ve lost confidence in this shop. I’d recommend anyone else get a second opinion before having them do alignment or diagnostic work, since communication and attention to detail here are seriously lacking.
- TDTammy DickisonNov 7, 20255.0I bought my tires here about a year ago, guys are great from start to finish. They make buying tires easier. They also don’t try to sell you anything you don’t need. I was told brakes would need to be replaced, but not for awhile. Just keep it in mind for later. My tire light just came on so I brought it back in, so they fixed the tire pressure on the tires and rotated them and never even charged me. Like I said just a great group of guys. I highly recommend!
