Also the counter personal have sufficient knowledge to look up the proper items needed. Another thing that's impressive to me is if they don't have a stock item they will contact another one of their area store availability. Confirmation is made and you can pay for this item before going to the other store and go in as a pick only customer quick service. They will recommend Orielly Auto Parts if they cant obtain a certain part

- AMAlexander MendezDec 19, 20251.0Terrible experience today with Allison (store manager) at Advanced Auto Parts. I had my vehicle diagnosed at a local shop. The shop determined the issue with my vehicle was the vehicles battery. I brought my battery for a warranty replacement. They tested my battery with cheap battery testing tool. The tool they use will not put the battery under enough load to diagnose a bad cell within the battery. NEVER buy a car battery here. They will do and say whatever they have to say to decline a warranty replacement. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
