I went into AutoZone looking for a paint removal product for my car and honestly didn’t know exactly what I needed. Laporte went above and beyond to help me. She not only showed me where the right product was, but also took the time to walk me through how to use it properly to make sure my project would be successful. Her knowledge, patience, and willingness to help truly exceeded my expectations. This is the kind of customer service that makes you want to come back. Thank you, Laporte!

Fred was awesome. Went above and beyond to help make sure we found the cause to my starting issues. Ran multiple tests and I could tell he wanted to make sure I had the solution. Thankfully we figured out it was a bad battery after all and he was able to help me get the part number and nearest location it was in stock. Would give 10 stars if I could

This AutoZone is very convenient for people on the go and need something quick. The store usually has whatever you need most of the time. But whenever you go in, ask for Fred. That man will hook you up as best as he can! He will go out of his way to help you and direct you on where to go if the store doesn't have what you need right away. Great employees!

I have never experienced such blatantly dishonest, dismissive, and discriminatory customer service in my life.
I came into this AutoZone location as a female customer who openly stated I am not knowledgeable about vehicles, which is why I asked for help. I purchased lightbulbs for my vehicle and specifically asked the cashier (a red-haired male who appeared to be some kind of manager) to verify they were correct. I asked him more than once to please double-check because I did not want to deal with the hassle of returns if they were wrong.
He did not look up my VIN, did not verify compatibility properly, and instead lazily went off the model alone. I even asked if he could step outside and physically check the vehicle. He flat-out refused and told me that AutoZone employees are “no longer allowed” to go outside or help customers at their vehicles due to corporate policy.
Fast forward four days later — a technician attempted to install the bulbs and immediately confirmed they were NOT the correct bulbs for my vehicle. The box had only been barely torn open. The bulbs were never removed from the plastic, never installed, and never used. Anyone with eyes could see that.
When I returned to AutoZone to exchange or return the bulbs, I unfortunately had to deal with the same employee, who then had the audacity to lie to my face. He claimed:
• The bulbs were “burnt”
• The box had been fully opened
• That whoever installed my lights must have swapped my new bulbs for old ones
This is an outright false accusation. I had my lights replaced at a Jeep dealership, and I have cameras in my vehicle that show the box was never opened in the way he claimed. He then aggressively ripped the box apart himself and tried to “demonstrate” what a new bulb looks like — which looked exactly the same as the bulb I had, completely undermining his own argument.
Now here’s where the situation becomes deeply disturbing.
When I initially came to the store and was told he “couldn’t help customers outside anymore,” I later watched him hovering over another customer’s engine helping them directly in the parking lot. When I pointed out this contradiction, his explanation was even worse.
He claimed that he was “cornered” into helping those customers because of their race, implying that:
• Policy suddenly doesn’t apply depending on who the customer is
• Or that he selectively chooses who he will and won’t help
So let me be clear:
• I was denied help as a woman asking for basic assistance
• I was later accused of dishonesty
• I was refused a legitimate return
• And I was given a completely contradictory and inappropriate explanation involving race to justify unequal treatment
This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and discriminatory on multiple levels.
AutoZone employees do not get to pick and choose who deserves help, fabricate stories to avoid accountability, or accuse customers of fraud to cover their own mistakes. This entire situation could have been avoided if the employee had done his job correctly the first time.
This location seriously needs corporate intervention, retraining, and management review, because this behavior is absolutely disgusting. I will be escalating this beyond a Google review.
