  I had a terrible experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and would strongly caution others before renting. I picked up a vehicle at Naples Airport and dropped it off at their St. Pete Beach location. It became obvious very quickly that the two branches do not communicate and seem to operate under completely different standards. When I picked up the car in Naples, it had just been washed and was still wet. I walked around it carefully and saw no visible damage — no dents, scratches, or signs of impact. Upon drop-off in St. Pete Beach, staff began pointing out “waves” in the side panel and claimed the headlight “looked off.” There was no visible damage whatsoever. No scratches, no paint transfer, no cracking — nothing that would indicate impact. If anything, it looked like a manufacturing issue. The vehicle was then sent to an auto body shop that chose to do a full paint job and replace paneling, resulting in nearly $5,000 in charges. Completely excessive and, in my opinion, profit-driven rather than based on actual damage. What made this worse was corporate’s response. I was told they have no incentive to take photos of vehicles upon return — that responsibility falls entirely on the renter. They also will not provide you with “before” photos from your rental period. So if a different branch later claims something is wrong, you are essentially on your own. This experience felt like a complete scam. PSA to anyone renting: 1) Video record the entire vehicle at pickup and drop-off (in extreme detail and good lighting) 2) Make sure you have a credit card company that will advocate for you. You may need it. Here are the photos in case anyone is curious to see the $5K "damage" themselves.

  I have used used Enterprise for the last several years for our family winter vacation in Florida. It has been a good experience for the most part until this year. I was hoping for more consideration from the assistant branch manager on the actual rental vehicle I received, yet she seemed rushed and disinterested in listening to my concern.

  Taylor was amazing! She was helpful, professional, and worked hard to make some of our changes possible when she could. On pick up and drop off (2/16 and 2/20) Taylor and the detailer were the only 2 employees present and handled everything efficiently!

  Great, seamless pickup at the St. Pete Beach location, the customer service representative was very helpful, and pleasant, and was even able to offer me an upgrade at no extra cost to me. That was very much appreciated. Also, I love the fact that you can drop off the vehicle at a different location than the one that you picked it up from at no extra charge!
