  After experiencing mechanical problems on I-75 near Tampa, I knew I had to seek help from Enterprise. At about 5:20, I phoned the location in Riverview, FL. I held on for about 20 minutes before Sean answered. I explained the situation and told him I had set the GPS toward his location. He said he couldn’t help me and wanted me to drive to the Tampa airport, about 40 miles away. I told him the vehicle probably couldn’t make it safely, but I would be at his office in about 10 minutes. He said he couldn’t help me. We arrived at the Riverview location about 5:50. Sean immediately repeated that he couldn’t help me. He had no cars. He had a few that were awaiting oil changes, but couldn’t rent those, or he would be flagged, and that would be a mark against his record. I asked him to call his supervisor because I was certain Enterprise would want to help me. I asked him to request an exception and allow me to swap the Jeep for one of the cars awaiting an oil change. That made no sense that he would not do this. He then said he had 2 cars awaiting pickup from customers. He could swap one of those if they didn’t show. He called those customers and left messages for them. It was now 6 PM, and the location was closing. Sean was going home, no matter what. He couldn’t rent the vehicles even though no one showed up, and he offered no explanation. Sean then said he had a Mitsubishi Mirage if I wanted it. That vehicle was not one I wanted to drive in the dark for 400 miles to Atlanta. He said his assistant would swap that if I wanted, then he left. His assistant said he could call a tow truck, but that could take hours, and we could not wait inside the dealership. They were closed. We took the Mirage. I should point out that I am 75, my sister is 77. This vehicle was designed for skipping about town and even had “HC” written on the window. I learned that meant Home City and the vehicle wasn’t supposed to leave the Tampa area.

  People at location were ok. They did offer to give me another vehicle if I could have waited. They Definitely should be more attentive to cleanliness of there vehicles. Smoke smell was disgusting and unpleasant.

  This was by far the fastest and easiest rental car experience I’ve ever had. The team working 2-17-26 between 10:30 and noon was so helpful and efficient. Returning the car on 2-20-26 was somehow even easier than pick up. The entire team was great from start to finish. Thank you!!

  The fact that I was given the first car and it was extremely dirty and I didn’t even go anywhere in it finally asked to trade it in to a different location near My house and told asked can I bring the car back later they said yes with no fee however I was changed for whole day and was offered to take The car and bring it back since I was already charged I literally didn’t even drive the car but one day to an appointment if I knew that would happened I could have cancelled my reservation. This is sad I was involved in a car accident and thought I’d get a refund and found out they not so this was a total lost for me
