- DLDouglas LeeNov 29, 20255.0My sister in law’s 2003 Buick LeSabre wouldn’t start so I jump started it and took it to Auto Zone store #4572 in Punta Gorda on 11/25/25. The battery is located under the rear seat and unless your a gymnast it’s near impossible to gain access so I didn’t know if Auto Zone would even be able to help me. I think I pulled a muscle just trying to put jumper cables on it. Well, Stuart R came out to help me and to my surprise didn’t tell me to take it to a mechanic but instead considered it a challenge to be won and dived right into it. He managed to get the battery out and tested and replaced with a good one plus a full diagnostic of my electrical system. That test showed me that my alternator, starter, and charging system was operating properly and it was only the battery that was worn out. We saw that it was actually an Auto Zone battery manufactured in 2018. Hard to believe it was 7 years old and finally quit working since most car batteries in Florida only last about 4 years if you’re lucky. I can’t offer enough praise to Auto Zone and specifically Stuart for saving my ass and making me look like a hero to my sister in law. I wish more companies hired employees like Stuart with that old American “Can Do” attitude for getting the job done regardless of the difficulties. He wouldn’t accept a tip and wished me a happy Thanksgiving and simply said if there is anything we can do for you just come back and we’ll take care of it. We all have choices out there like Pep Boys, O’Reilly, Napa, Discount Auto, etc. but Auto Zone is the only auto parts store I recommend to friends and family exactly because of past experiences like the one above.
