Unprofessional, misleading, and inappropriate conduct – Enterprise Plant City, FL
Timeline & context:
• Feb 16, 2026: Reserved a 6-seater/minivan via Costco Travel (Confirmation #1394074909). This was the only nearby location offering a 6-seater, which I needed to pick up my family arriving from India to Orlando on Feb 20 at 8:00 AM with five 50-lb bags.
• Feb 17, 2026: Received a phone call from Michael at Enterprise confirming the reservation.
• Feb 19, 2026 (~4:45 PM): Arrived early for my 5:30 PM pickup.
At the branch, a representative showed me a black 7-seater, said it was available, and I agreed. While paperwork was being processed, he suddenly claimed the vehicle had “safety issues” and refused to rent it to me.
Immediately after this, I observed the representative whisper to another employee, after which the second employee drove the same black vehicle to a different parking lot, out of my direct view. Shortly afterward, I personally saw that same vehicle being assigned to another customer.
When I questioned this contradiction, staff avoided answering and contradicted each other.
While I was waiting outside for my neighbor to pick me up (since I was left without a vehicle), the same representative approached me and made personal statements in front of my wife, including:
“Last time you came here, you disrespected one of my colleagues,”
and
“You will never get a car at this Enterprise location.”
These statements were false, inappropriate, and felt like a personal character attack, made only after I questioned why the same vehicle was rented to someone else. My last visit months earlier was only a key drop-off, and this employee was not even present at that time. My wife was shocked by this behavior.
Impact: Because I was left without a vehicle despite a confirmed reservation and with all Enterprise locations closing, I had to urgently call my neighbor to pick me up that evening. I also had to request his help again the next morning to drive to the airport, using two separate cars to pick up my family and their luggage — something this reservation was specifically meant to avoid.
Another customer even offered to give up her 7-seater due to my situation, but staff refused. I have video and audio evidence of this incident.
This experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. After being disrespected and misled, I personally feel I should never return to this location. I would not recommend this branch.
