I was charged $100 more than the Intoxiloc representative told me I would be charged. It does not appear at this time it was the fault of the service center.

Intoxalock is a scam. I was "locked out" 2days of the first 3 of using them. Not for failed test but for "missed retests" because the device wouldn't register. After I pay the $80 fee to unlock my vehicle, every time I blow after that it seems to work fine. Customer service sucks. It's someone in India I can't understand and they're no help. 0 out of 5 so far.

I logged into my 5 month old Intoxalock account to find an urgent message, "ALERT: Important information about reinstating your driving privileges! Please Click here". Issues: - My license in Florida does not need reinstatement - It took nearly 40 minutes waiting on the phone to reach a support representative who confirmed there is no issue with my account, payment, license, etc... - TOTAL FALSE ALARM which caused me great anxiety and wasted nearly an hour of my day.

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock - Closed

How does an interlock device work?

An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
