    I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the unacceptable service I received at one of your store locations today. Prior to visiting the store, I called and spoke with a representative who confirmed that my battery was still under warranty and that it could be replaced. However, when I arrived, I was met with unprofessional behavior and resistance from the staff. An older employee initially tried to assist me but stated that he does not install batteries. He asked a coworker to help, who responded, “absolutely not.” I was then told I could either install the battery myself or take it to Pep Boys, despite the large “Free Battery Installation” sign posted outside the store. When I mentioned this, I was directed to speak with the manager. The manager’s attitude was dismissive from the start. Without even checking my information, he claimed the battery was probably not under warranty. After testing the battery and looking up my account, he said the representative I spoke with over the phone gave me incorrect information. He also told me there was no way to verify my purchase because I didn’t have the receipt from three years ago and claimed there was no serial number on the battery to trace it. Throughout the conversation, he repeated that I was “not getting a free battery,” even though I never asked for one — only for the warranty to be honored. The manager showed no interest in resolving the issue or taking responsibility for the misinformation provided by your representative. His attitude and lack of customer service were disappointing and unprofessional. I left the store feeling disrespected and frustrated. I am requesting that Advance Auto Parts review this situation and take appropriate action to address both the mishandling of my warranty inquiry and the poor conduct of the store staff. I would appreciate a follow-up and a resolution to this issue.
