WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I definitely recommend going with another company. They did not even complete the service. Technician was supposed to arrive between 8 and 12 and he arrived at 12:10, with an attitude. The repair time was supposed to be between an hour and two and he took 2.5 hours and at the end he didn’t even complete the service!!!!! They said that they needed to calibrate it and they couldn’t and then they wanted me to go to their location which is 35 min away from where I live to then wait for hours because they said they needed at least an hour to see if they can calibrate it. I said beforehand that I needed that to be quick because the only time I had was during my lunch break and there were like 6 people waiting and said it will take hours.
WHY ADVERTISE AS A SERVICE THAT GOES TO YOU TO THEN MAKE YOU GO ALL THEY WAY TO THEM AND WAIT FOR HOURS????
AND after all, when I’m there, they say that if I don’t do the calibration there, they just don’t care because they make you sign a waiver before the do some work in your car.
If you’re looking for windshield replacement I recommend you finding a company that is near you in case “calibration” cannot be completed.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE don’t recommend this company/service to anybody
1:30pm appointment and did not touch the car until 3:30. I spoke with the woman at the front regarding the appointment and she gave attitude saying that other people were waiting longer than I was. When I spoke with the customers their appointment was at 3:00 and they left about an hour and a half before I did. My car was not ready until 6:20pm that is a total of 5 hours of sitting around for my glass to be repaired when they said it would take 2 to 3 hours. I would not recommend coming to this establishment due to the fact that some of the employees were lazy, rude, and did not communicate honestly regarding appointment times. Not to mention that there was no notice or communication that I was going to be there for 5 hours. Had I known they were backed up I would have made the proper transportation arrangements. On top of all of that they replaced my glass with subpar glass (after market) without letting me know that they were not using the OEM glass my car came with.

While the repair itself was completed successfully, I found the appointment process to be disappointing. My appointment was scheduled for 1:30 PM, yet my car was not even looked at until around 3:15 PM. This delay made the appointment feel misleading and undermined the purpose of scheduling a specific time.
The service was incredibly good from selecting the appointment time and date to they taking care of all the details. Where they failed was with the receptionist or customer service person at the front window. After waiting 2 hrs I asked the young lady if they had a water fountain available and she responded No water fountain available. Shortly afterwards a service technician was addressing a customer when he stated, I know you guys have been waiting awhile so we have a vending machine and a water fountain in the back if you would like to get something, we immediately all went to get water. The receptionist got up and left the room, I was so upset with her but I want you to address this issue with her, this was unacceptable behavior to lie to your customers. I will give you a 5 stars once the employee is addressed.
Scheduled appointment time was between 8am and 12pm. The technician arrived at 2:30pm. No message or call to inform me that he will be late. I called customer service 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment time and was on hold for 15 minutes while they tried to contact the tech. They then said he will be there in 30 minutes. 2 hours later, he showed up. He texted a picture of the apartment building front entrance. I suppose that was to tell me he was here. I texted back that I am coming down, on my way. As I got it to the parking lot, no more than 3 minutes or less after the message, he was driving away and I had to run and whistle for him to stop and not leave!! I found this unbelievable. I was not going to let him get away after waiting 6 1/2 hours! The tech also did not apologize for his lateness and was rather rude (body language). He also did not speak English. Only Spanish. This might generally work in South Florida, but for a Gringo like me, it was challenging.
You will see responses from Safelite to Google Reviews posted by customers that make excuses and try to undermine the bad service reviews. Don’t believe the Safelite responses!
