- MAMatt AdamsJul 9, 20255.0While traveling to PCB for July 4th week, we lost the alternator on our Honda Odyssey. Nikki greeted us at the door and performed a battery and alternator test. Found out the Alternator was not putting out any volts. It's 3 pm, 90+ degrees on a Saturday, Nikki was able to get us a replacement Alternator and contacted a mobile mechanic to help install it for us. The mechanic came to our rental house on Sunday AM, in the rain, and installed the alternator. Nikki was a life saver!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward.
