  I had a very frustrating experience with Safelite from start to finish. What began as a simple repair turned into an ongoing issue that still hasn’t been resolved. I originally had a small crack repaired, but instead of fixing the problem, it actually worsened and spread directly into my line of sight. They scheduled a follow-up appointment a week later to replace the windshield. On the day of that appointment, the technician called and said he was 10 minutes away—but never showed up. I tried calling him multiple times with no response. I also called the local shop repeatedly and couldn’t get anyone to answer. Even customer service was unable to reach them. Three weeks later, a technician finally came out and replaced the windshield—but installed the wrong one. During that process, he also cracked the rearview mirror bracket/holder. He acknowledged both issues and said they would replace the windshield again with the correct one and fix the damaged mirror piece. Another three weeks went by before a different technician showed up. He had no idea that the previous windshield was incorrect or that the rearview mirror bracket had been damaged. I had to explain everything myself. He tried contacting his shop while he was here but couldn’t get anyone to answer. Before leaving, he said he would speak with his manager and that someone would follow up with me. It’s now been well over a month since that visit, and I have still not received any communication. I am left with a broken rearview mirror bracket, with no resolution in sight. This has been an incredibly disappointing experience with poor communication, lack of accountability, and repeated delays. I would not recommend Safelite based on my experience.

  Terrible experience. We showed up to have the windshield replaced and the proper parts weren’t in stock. Required a second trip with no explanation and no empathy.

  How do you feel when an unexpected CRACK (the first-ever in over 52 years of marriage!) starts creeping down your windshield? Having seen Safelite in our neighborhood numerous times encouraged us to call them right away. The CSR made us an appointment at our convenience, and the tech not only called the day before with a more targeted arrival time, but again an hour prior. He was quick & efficient - and our windshield was repaired just as we expected. We received an e-receipt shortly after his departure, and all was in order.
