The employee "Junior" that helped me was soooo professional, pleasant, helpful and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE about replacing my Honda battery. The best service ever!!!!

- LBLisa BruxFeb 12, 20265.0I needed to purchase some filter replacements and checked online for the cost of the items. I tried one Advance Auto Parts store closer to my house. The gentlemen behind the counter picked out the most expensive brands they carried. When I mentioned to him the high prices, he mentioned that’s all they had in stock. I did not buy anything there. Later, as I ran errands I stopped at another Advance Auto Parts store. This store was out of stock of the item I was looking to buy. As a last resort, I went to the Advance Auto store off Hwy 19 and Tampa Rd. I typical go there and of course they had all the specific items and more. I told Pam, the manager about my ordeal. She said she orders and keeps her store well stocked. She and her coworker were so friendly and I will ONLY shop at this location even though I hate Hwy19! There wasn’t any male ego as another women at the counter asked Pam’s coworker for help.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
