Dani, Tristan, and the rest of the staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful -- I appreciated their positive attitude and quick service. However, not even two blocks after leaving, my car began making a strange thumping and stalling noise when braking, which was very alarming. I immediately turned back around, and Tristan kindly checked my vehicle. He found that a hose connected to my air filter had come loose and quickly readjusted it. He apologized for the mistake, and I appreciated how he handled the situation professionally and made it right. Later, I noticed another issue: my invoice states that all fluids were checked and topped off -- including windshield washer fluid -- but when I tried to use my wipers, no fluid came out. My dash camera actually recorded both the thumping/stalling noise right after leaving the shop and the moment when I tested the windshield washer fluid. I also have a photo of the invoice showing the fluid check marked as completed. Now I'll have to drive to another Valvoline farther away just to get my fluids properly checked, which is a big inconvenience after already returning once today. I came to Valvoline because I had a poor experience earlier at Jiffy Lube and wanted a more professional and reliable service. While Dani and Tristan were genuinely friendly and helpful, I hope the team can take this feedback to perform a more thorough check in the future -- especially when a customer requests it upfront. I'd also appreciate if Valvoline could offer a reasonable discount or credit toward my next visit to make things right and restore my confidence in returning as a loyal customer. Update: I had to go back a second time because my windshield washer fluid and coolant still weren’t topped off (even though I specifically requested a full 18-point check and fluid top-off the first visit). They also checked the tire pressure this time — something I don’t believe was done originally. To recap, I made two return trips in total: one for the loose hose that caused stalling and another for the washer fluid and coolant. The team apologized and took care of it, which I appreciate, but I really hope they do a more thorough check the first time around for future customers.
