    I had a fantastic experience with National Car Rental. From the moment I arrived, the staff made everything incredibly smooth and stress‑free. Check‑in was quick, the team was friendly and attentive, and they went out of their way to make sure I had exactly what I needed. The car itself was spotless, comfortable, and clearly well‑maintained. What really stood out, though, was the consistency of their service form Orlando MCO to JFK NY— every interaction felt professional, efficient, and genuinely customer‑focused. Returning the vehicle was just as easy, with clear instructions and a team that worked quickly while still being welcoming. National Car Rental has definitely earned my trust. I’ll be choosing them again for future trips because the quality of service is simply outstanding.

    I’ve had consistently positive experiences with National in the past, which makes this trip particularly disappointing. Despite reserving a minivan, none were available at pickup. The vehicle I was given had significant visible damage, and when I asked whether it had been documented before leaving the lot, the agent appeared frustrated by the request rather than helpful. I am an Emerald member, and while I don’t expect special treatment, in prior years that status came with noticeably better service — including assistance with luggage and a generally welcoming experience. This time, I was directed on a long walk, multiple times, and then sent to Alamo to see if they could help me. I understand the partnership between the brands, but it did not feel consistent with the upgraded Emerald experience I’ve had in the past. Upon return, I was told the vehicle was two gallons short of fuel, even though I filled up at the same gas station closest to the airport that I’ve used for years without issue. Overall, this was a very different experience from what I’ve come to expect from National.

    Matt helped us select a vehicle and he was a Remarkable, Courteous & Professional help, plus, he's an amazing young man. When we returned the vehicle Sharka (I hope I got his name right) helped us and was amazingly helpful, personable, and professional. During this part of the Process we also met Rick (aka Slick Rick) & he was also amazing to work with. During the rental the vehicle performed flawlessly & we appreciate that!!!! From vehicle selection, to pick-up, & all the was to drop off it was a great experience & I will remain a loyal National customer. As a seasoned team builder, I highly recommend the leadership at National at the MCO airport enroll Matt and Sharka into any management training program you might have....

    I have been renting from National for probably 15 years. I have always enjoyed the Emerald Isle and Executive Isle . I have rented Mustangs , Camaro, Dodge Charger, Challenger, SUV and even the occasional mini van. But lately you can tell the selection of cars is changing and they are limiting or removing upgrades from the idle area . Well tonight at Orlando the Executive Isle the area that is supposed to reward regular customers had these eco boxes and nothing else. Seriously National you are not the cheapest option if your new policy is to limit cars in the isle selection than I may as well just rent from the cheapest option which will not be National. Thankfully one of your managers help us out with an actual car and not these toys .

    I really should have posted about National before this, because they consistently provide a great experience. I know I sound Pollyanna-ish, but National's people are consistently nice, helpful, patient and enthusiastic, which is the first thing I think of, when I think of renting from them. And, their rates are competitive, which makes the whole experience work for me. Lately, I have also been appreciating National's automated customer service: I had to extend my most recent rental, and change the airport where I returned the vehicle. The agent on the phone was great, but my favorite part of the interaction was the email I received the day before the car was due back (for the new day/time), asking if there would be any further changes. I replied that I would be about two-and-a-half hours later than anticipated, and my rate was changed on the spot. I felt safe knowing there wouldn't be any drama or problems when I returned the vehicle. This is in such contrast to the well-documented horror stories I have heard about Hertz, where their AI is charging guests outrageous sums for minuscule scratches, and arrest warrants are issued for customers who returned cars a day late (or sometimes even on-time!) With their people, policies, automation, and humanity, National has made me loyal to their company, which is rare these days. They shows that inspiring loyalty doesn't have to be either rare or hard, and I am guessing that it has added positively to their bottom line. I certainly spend more with them because of it.
