Car was very nice and very quiet but did not have some of what we thought were standard items nowadays. Also the car only had about 250 lifetime miles on it and by the time we got to 325 the Needs Maintenance message came on. When we called Roadside Assistance and finally got the person to listen to the problem the choice was return to Orlando or go to Daytona Beach Airport when we went near there in a few days. We opted for the latter. When we got to Daytona Beach in a Wednesday morning, we were told they might be able to get a change out after 7:00 that evening and they didn’t have time to look at the vehicle just then. Best to go on to Jacksonville. We did plan to drive many more miles so we took no further action until the end of our rental. Also when I tried to change the time of my return I got a location closed mark on the screen so couldn’t change the time to show we were actually returning it when our one week was up.

We recently rented a car from National Orlando Airport. Upon arrival, we entered the shared space by National/Enterprise and were greeted by beautifully dressed staff that were there to guide us and answer any questions. We said we had a National car and they walked us over to the booth, and introduced us to Dom....DOM, you are a rock star!
Dom got us all set up with our Audi Q7 and made sure we were comfortable and ready to begin our adventure. What a great representative for National - a real 10+ and we wanted to make sure he got recognition for a job over and above.
Our car arrived promptly, was spotless inside and out (not the norm these days) - we loaded the car and made an inspection of the vehicle, got our settings done and we were on our way.
Kudos to Dom, National Orlando terminal B and the entire support staff. We are veteran seasoned travellers and have rented hundreds and hundreds of cars........this was the best experience we have ever had. Thank you to all.

Honestly, could have been better. The idea of picking out a car and just going is great but maybe streamline the going process. One member of our party who is a emerald member, booked multiple rental cars prior to arriving. When leaving we were informed only one car had protection coverage the other was going to cost additional $30 a day. On top of that we knew the cost of what each rental was going to be, the woman tried to charge us an additional $50 from what the online booking said it was going to be and she wasnt going to correct it until we disputed it with her. The drop off address we were given takes you to a totally wrong location to drop off the rental. Once we got to the correct location dropping off was a breeze, shout out to Matt for being so professional, making that progress easy!

This review is a flat ZERO
My recent experience with National Car Rental at Orlando International Airport (MCO) was beyond unacceptable.
I had already received full approval from the Ocala drop-off location to change my return city from Ocala, FL to Charlotte, NC. Based on that confirmation, I adjusted my business travel plans accordingly. A few days later the MCO team called me and abruptly reversed the arrangement and refused to waive the $1,000 upcharge fee for the one-way change. There was no proactive solution, no escalation path, and no willingness to honor what had already been approved by another location.
Because of their decision, I was forced into a nine-hour drive back from Charlotte, NC, which disrupted my professional commitments, cost me valuable time, and created unnecessary operational strain. The lack of coordination between locations is alarming. Even more disappointing was the complete absence of customer advocacy.
We maintain a corporate account and hold Executive Elite status, yet none of that mattered. There was zero flexibility and no effort to preserve a long-standing business relationship. Loyalty clearly carries no weight when it actually matters.
This was a clear failure in customer service, communication, and accountability. National should be embarrassed by how this situation was handled.

Pick up at airport was ok. There was no one available in garage to ask questions which is very unusual for MCO. When I went to return to Disney Car Care center there was no one outside to check you in. I went inside to wait in line. After about 5 minutes the employee inside told me to go outside to return it. I told him there was no one out there. He said the guy just went outside I went outside and there was no one outside. There were 3 guys in black shirts down by the garage that looked towards me and went back inside. They continued to keep going in and out like they were hiding I turned to go back inside and bumped into a guy with a National shirt in. Who was on the phone talking. I ask him if he worked there. He stopped talking said yes and to just put the keys on the podium. He would get to it. He went back to talking on phone. I waited about 5 minutes yes and he kept talking but never checked the car in. I left without having the car checked in. I looked online 15 minutes later and the car still wasn’t checked it. I panicked called the phone number for national and explained what happened. After I was told someone would call me back which never happened. 15 minutes later the car was finally checked in. So 20-30 minutes after dropping the car off someone finally checked it in. Service was not like it normally is.
