  I stopped at Mister Car Wash after getting back from a trip from Memphis, just looking for a simple Base Plus wash. Nothing fancy. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my debit card on me at the time, only exact cash. Right away, the attendant at the kiosk tried to push an unlimited plan. I clearly said no, just the Base Plus. Then he asked if I wanted to leave the team a tip. I asked a fair question: What exactly am I tipping for? Are they drying the car? Cleaning wheels? Vacuuming? The answer was no, “we’d just appreciate it.” So I said.. NO!! with a chuckle 🙄 When I handed him the cash, he looked at it like it was radioactive. I was told they can’t take cash and asked if I had Apple Pay. I don’t. I had exact cash in hand. He then repeated that he couldn’t accept it… but once again asked if I’d like to sign up for an unlimited plan. Can I pay for it in cash??? Uh, no sir.. I then told him, why would you ask me that when I clearly told you.. I ONLY HAVE CASH?? 🙄 I even mentioned that a few months ago another employee with a tablet accepted cash and processed a wash. Still no solution. Cash apparently isn’t acceptable anymore, UNLESS, it’s for tips!! A statement, YOUR associate stated to me. Once again, THEY ACCEPTED CASH a few months ago from me, unless the guy pocketed the cash, and granted me access to the wash, the math isn't adding 👀 At that point I left and drove over to Coggins Honda, explained the situation briefly, and they gave me a free courtesy wash and vacuum. I gladly tipped the employee there $40 because they actually went above and beyond and treated me like a customer, not a sales target. I’m honestly asking: what has gone wrong when exact cash is no longer accepted for a basic service? Plenty of places still understand customer service. Mister Car Wash is no longer one of them. There’s something deeply backwards about going to a business with exact cash in your hand and being told you can’t buy a basic service. It makes you feel like you are the problem, when in reality the business chose convenience and upselling over serving the customer standing right there. It’s not just about payment. It’s about being turned away when you came prepared. Cash says, “I’m ready to do business right now.” Being rejected for it says, “We only want customers who fit our system.” I WONT be returning..✌️

  Every tool to keep my car looking fresh. I love how they added the air to get dirt from small crevices and air vents along with the slim vacuums to reach tight areas. I always get compliments on how clean my car is.

  I wouldn’t recommend this specific Mister Car Wash location in Lake Nona. I had a very disappointing experience, and the manager, Steven Schiff, was unprofessional and disrespectful. The service overall was terrible. This was especially surprising because I’ve had consistently exceptional service at other Mister Car Wash locations, like Colonial and Curry Ford. I’d suggest going to a different location if you’re looking for better customer service.
