Frequently Asked Questions About Central Florida Paint & Body
How long will my vehicle’s repair take?
Generally, repair time is calculated at the time of the estimate, based on the labor hours required to complete your vehicle’s repair. The estimated repair time will begin once we have received approval from the proper party and received all the parts necessary for your repair. Keep in mind there are other factors that may delay completion of the repairs, such as back ordered parts and dealer diagnostics. We understand the importance of having your vehicle back as quickly as possible, and we are committed to keeping you informed throughout the repair process.
Why do I need an estimate from the insurance company?
For accidents where a claim has been filed, the insurance company will typically want to have the damage assessed with one of their appraisers first. They will then send over their estimate to the shop. At that point, we will evaluate the vehicle and if additional damages are found, the insurance company will be contacted, and all repairs will stop until the insurance company has approved the additional damages in writing.
What if additional damages are found during the repair that weren’t on the original estimate?
Central Florida paint and body will contact the vehicle owner and insurance company when additional damages are found. We will not proceed with the additional repairs until all damages are reviewed and approved by the proper party.
Who determines the value of the vehicle?
For accidents where a claim has been filed, the insurance company will determine the vehicle’s value based on their own guidelines. Contact the insurance company for further information.
How do I obtain a rental vehicle while my car is being repaired?
Central Florida Paint and Body now has onsite car rentals provided by Aarow Car Rental. This allows our customers the ease and convenience of picking up and dropping off their rental vehicle with their collision repair. We are also serviced by Enterprise Car rental. Although they are not onsite, Enterprise will pick you up at our location and take you to their office for rental pick up. Once your personal vehicle is ready for pickup, Enterprise will allow you to leave your rental car at our repair facilities. To find out more about rental car reimbursement on your insurance policy, please contact your insurance company.
Will my vehicle be totaled if the frame is damaged?
A vehicle is considered a total loss only when the price of the repair exceeds the insurance company’s determined value of your car. Nowadays, most cars are built with a unibody construction. This simply means that the vehicle and frame are one structure. This type of construction allows repair facilities to either replace or repair portions of a vehicles structure. At Central Florida Paint & Body, we invest in only the best equipment and newest technology. By utilizing one of our specialty frame bench and measuring systems, we can ensure that the vehicle’s structure is brought back to factory specifications.
