We arrived late into Orlando Airport, this was planned and not due to delays. I had already done the upfront paperwork so all
I had to do was turn up to the garage and collect my car, but when I got to the garage to rows where completely empty, I then went to the garage advisor and he said you’ll have to take a downgrade!! Coming off a 15 hour flight I just took the closest available car and off I went. The car was clean and new but not what I had ordered. The next afternoon I get an email from a manager Evelyn and she was made aware of my issue and asked if I would like to change to the requested car, she also explained that the garage was empty due to an unpredictable influx of day collections leaving the garage empty. I accepted and went back the the airport to collect my orders car. The car was perfect and as described. Bit of a faf but was sorted in the end. Good customer service and will continue to use Alamo at MCO.

I have been a regular customer for over twenty years, including an annual rental period of three months during the Fall each year (November to March) which in the USA, is a peak period for car rentals. I have never had any problems getting the vehicle I have specified, normally at Orlando Intertnational Airport. I have been fortunate to have had some of the most professional, and willing Company associates throughout this twenty year period, and have never been disapointed by the Customer Service level I have received. On more than one occasion, I have even been fortunate to be offered an Upgrade of vehicle, which I have always appreciated.
I have nothing but praise for the Alamo/Enterprise personel that I have had the pleasure of meeting, and I will always try to ensure that I aknowledge the high level of attention and service that they provide - in what can often be a very challenging and demanding environment. 'Well Done' to all of the Associates and Management!!

Myself and another couple rented two cars from Alamo in Orlando Florida airport. It was late and we are in a hurry but both vehicles were completely filthy inside with trash and foot and toe marks on the inside of the windows! We couldn't even see it out of the side and front windshields because of all the smearing. If we weren't in such a hurry and tired we would have turned around and dump these vehicles back on Alamo and gone to another car rental place. We both went to a very expensive car wash and has the vehicles cleaned inside and they actually charged us more money than normal! We literally returned the cars a week later and way better shape than we got them! When I complain to the intake person that we dropped the car at he just Shrugged and said I'm sorry you had a bad experience! Really?! How about a freaking discount. If you go to Orlando Florida and land at the airport don't go to alamo!

I was an Orlando rent a car virgin and didn't know which one to choose and there were quite a few. I actually ended up going through, Florida Discount car hire based in the UK.
They gave me 3 quotes and I picked Alamo, not the cheapest but it came recommended as the best. The cost covered everything I needed and as a plus I could miss the queue at the airport and collect it at the car park. The car park, is just opposite from the Arrivals. Sure enough 3 or 4 cars in the class I'de ordered were waiting for me to choose which I wanted. Once loaded up, straight to the barrier, I gave details of my licence and credit card and off I went. Couldnt have been easier. I also hired a sat nav from the UK company, which cost £15 for 18 days. (They post it to you before you go) Without it I would have struggled.
Only down side was a slow puncture which meant 3 or 4 calls to the petrolb station. I did contact Alamo to see if I could exchange it and they were happy to do it but I would have to drive to Disney World Garages. Luckily I rang before, because they didn't have a like for like swap. I could have gone to the airport but it was quite a journey so just kept pumping up the tire.. On the day I had to return the car. Just drove in the car park where I was met by an employee from Alamo who checked the fuel and the car, then I was off. Receipt received by email within the hour.
So a seamless experience and wouldn't hesitate recommending either company. ( Areturns envelope was included with the sat nav.)

We trusted Enterprise/Alamo with our family’s safety — including our two young children (ages 3 and 5) — and deeply regret it.
After a tire failure under normal driving conditions, roadside assistance installed only a temporary spare (“donut”) and then denied us a replacement vehicle, denied a tire replacement even at our own expense, and offered no tow, no transport, and no safe alternative, despite repeated requests and despite knowing we were traveling with two small children.
We were forced to drive long distance from Port St. Lucie back to Orlando International Airport — the only place where Enterprise/Alamo said a vehicle replacement could occur. Because of the donut tire restrictions, we were unable to use highways, had to drive at a maximum of 50 mph, and stop every 30–40 minutes.
What should have been a normal trip became an approximately 8-hour drive, under unsafe conditions, with two minor children in the car. This was not a voluntary decision — it was the only option left to us.
As a direct result, we lost the entire remaining weekend of our family vacation, incurred additional unplanned expenses, and had our trip completely disrupted.
What followed was even more troubling. Instead of accountability or remediation, the matter has been handled through mischaracterization and bad faith, with repeated attempts to minimize, omit, and reframe documented facts rather than address them directly.
The way this situation has been handled is not only disappointing — it is offensive to a family who trusted Enterprise/Alamo, and who exercised restraint and professionalism despite being repeatedly mistreated.
It is particularly concerning that meaningful responses only began after regulatory authorities were involved. We should not have had to escalate the matter to regulators simply to be taken seriously.
Enterprise/Alamo also appeared to treat this as non-actionable solely because there was no collision. Thankfully, our family is safe, and our daughter recovered from the urinary inflammation caused by prolonged sitting and stress during the forced drive. The absence of a collision does not erase the risk we were placed under.
This was not a customer service issue. It was a serious safety failure followed by dismissive, bad-faith handling. Families deserve better.
