So getting the car was no problem. It was quick and easy. The problem comes when the check engine light comes on and stays on and the car gets a bad vibration. We call to see about exchanging it and again no problem. We got upgraded at no charge and near Disney which is where we were going the next day. Kevin gave us the keys and told us we could return at half a tank since that is where it was at when we got it and he would notate it. Here comes the problem. No paperwork was ever sent nor were we able to look up the info online as it was for the old vehicle. We called customer service three times with no success and no one helping to get a copy of the new contract. We even called one time to get the direct line to the Disney location as the one online just sent us to customer service. When asked for the direct number they gave us the same number we called. They told us it was because they don’t answer and it gets redirected and to keep calling until they answer. When we finally did get a hold of someone to help us they gave us a new reference number, but again it didn’t come up online. Then a few days later a rep from the airport location emails to say that they heard we had to exchange the vehicle and to give us the info of the new vehicle. So now we are doing the work for them. We comply and give them the info and finally get the contract which then says we have to give the vehicle back on a full tank. We emailed again to explain that we got it at half a tank and Kevin said to return it at half a tank. They said they would fix it but if it did not just show them the email traffic. The day we returned the vehicle it was not fixed and they were trying to charge us. We had to show them the email traffic they said they would take care of it but noticed afterwards that they still charged us $2 extra for the gas tax that we didn’t use.

We rented a car from Alamo and when we got in and drove off, we noticed a smoke smell in the car. I kept the car because I was mainly the one in it but my mother-in-law is VERY sensitive to cigarette/cigar smoke and her allergies would get out of control if I drove her anywhere. When we returned the car, we were asked how our experience was and when I told them about the problem, they took the car out of rotation to be detailed and apologized for everything and did what they could to make it right. Alamo is a really good company to rent from. They seem to care about customers and how their experience was. I would def recommend, and rent from Alamo again. Thank you guys so much.

We chose Alamo as we had used them on a previous trip to Orlando (from Melbourne Intl.) and had a great experience with them. This time we flew into Orlando Intl. and used the skip the desk option. We arrived at the garage, but there were no cars left in 'Full Size' so we were told to just select a car from the SUV section instead - although there was some confusion at first as the Alamo rep just said choose one of these instead "if you'd like", and as we weren't getting anywhere fast we just picked one and went on our way, not really knowing if it would cost anymore money. We went for a Ford Escape as we have a Ford at home so we were familiar with the entertainment system. The car was clean and practically brand new.
Unfortunatly the car had a slow puncture which registered on the dash on day 3, there was an Alamo desk at our hotel and they advised to take the car to the local Mavis garage to have the puncture fixed, this ended up taking up over half of our day in the end as the garage had to have the work approved by Alamo before doing anything. However once approved it didn't cost us anything. That's the only reason for 4 stars and not 5 - it was a bit of a painful wait if i'm honest.
The whole rental process from collection to drop off was relatively easy and I would use Alamo again.

This may be lengthy but worth it lol. Let me start by saying i originally booked with 1 company, my flight was delayed 8hrs from my state to Orlando. Upon learning this is continuously trending to reach my rental place but to no avail. Thank god I had family that picked me up. The following morning I tried renting with yet another company but closer to where I was staying, booked and went to go get my car and hit with your an out of tower so we need a cc and we are gonna charge around 500$ to hol on it. I had the money but on my debit/cc so yet again no car. I finally called alamo at orlando international and they said if could book and use my cc, so I did.
I got to the airport walked in and approached the manager who by the way was AMAZING. From the minute I walked in she was smiling, greeting me and telling me not to worry. When I tell you it took me 5 mins to check in (I pre-ordered online) and she had me on my way, I promise it was 5 minutes. She made my whole nightmare of travels so much better than it was. THANK YOU EMMA-JOLEE, I hope ALAMO knows how amazing you are and how good your customer service is. Once I went to the desk to retrieve my car, again another 5 mins and I was on my way ( my pick up experience was also and smooth as could be)
Returning my car was also just as easy, not a single issue. No charges or fees and the gentleman (i wish I got his name) was just so pleasant) I would rent here 1000 times over if this mea t saving myself the headaches, sleep and frustrations. Thank you all for being so kind and helpful

Sadly not a great experience for our extended family on our very special holiday. We paid a premium for express check in to collect our vehicles with a view to wanting to get through quickly after a long 9 hour flight. We waited well over an hour at the desk with multiple people waiting ahead of us. One family ahead of us were really distressed with 3 small children. We waited in line despite having done the check in online, this made no difference to us being able to collect our cars. None of the machines were working to assist check in either. The QR codes didnt support our exoress check in either. Initially only two staff members working, then a third came to join them after some time. No apology offered. The printers then weren't working so waited whilst staff fiddled with the cartridges moving them from one printer to the next.
Once we got all our paperwork, we went down to the garage section to collect our two vehicles. Keys handed to us and a vague point in the direction of one car ( 7 seater ) and informed we could pick from a selection of about 4 saloons for our second car. Both cars had damage, no paperwork to support, dark dim lighting. Advised to take pictures on our phones to record the damage for our records. Staff couldn't have cared less or have been any less helpful. Absolutely no explanation or demonstration of where things were in the cars or what type of fuel the cars took. We had to phone our broker to find out. We didn't even know how to turn the lights on!
On returing our vehicles we were asked about the service, my husband shared his honest opinion & the staff member argued with him saying all rental vehicles in the states are unleaded and we should know that. We didn't, first time visiting & had no clue. Staff were disrespectful. Overall disappointing and not what we had expected. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't use again unfortunately.
