Advanced won’t honor the 2 year warranty because I was not the original purchaser. Advanced Auto Parts now owns DieHard batteries. This is a convenient way to avoid battery warranty claims even though the bad battery is under factory warranty. The staff couldn’t care less about a loyal customer including the manager “Nicky”. I’ve been a customer for decades and will now take my business elsewhere along with my family members.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
