I got an oil change and a tire rotation and during the tire rotation they informed me that two of the bolts/nuts were damaged, one on each front tire. Neither could be put back due to one bolt having been broken off inside the nut and the other was severely stripped. They blamed the previous installer, gave me the nuts, and told me I was safe to drive. After a quick Google search, it said you are only safe to drive a short distance to get it fixed. What if I had started my drive to Miami tomorrow just trusting his words? It could have been catastrophic! Now I’m stuck paying a reputable mechanic to replace 2 studs, 2 lug nuts and the amount I’m out of is just steadily increasing.
