My battery died after 8 months and I came in hoping to use my warranty, but upon testing was told my battery was fine and sold a charger. When the charger didn't work, I was told to tighten my connections and drive around for a few hours. When that didn't work, I came in at 8am and was met with Craig, the General Manager, at his desk in the back corner who rolled his eyes seeing me again and asked if I could come back at 9am because he doesn't have the staff. I said I could wait, but I didn't have a way to get another jump. He stayed at his desk for about 15 minutes and went to test the battery again, still finding it fine. I asked to test the alternator, he rolled his eyes again, but it was fine. He began gathering his things and telling me that "you need to quit bringing it to us and take it to a professional," he kept insisting that it was phantom draw on the power, he promised that if he put a new battery in, it would be dead in a day and stupid to try, very clearly wanting me to go away. Despite being dismissed and treated like I was an annoying idiot, I took him at his word and went to the Firestone across the street. They took out the battery and confirmed that it couldn't be charged, just a dud, happens all the time. I took my paperwork back to Craig and said "the professionals say it's just the battery". He is visibly irritated and tries to tell me the professionals are wrong "but whatever" and that I have to wait until 9am to be helped further. I wait for another staff member who comes in frazzled, he mumbles that he's going to get my battery on a charger per Craig and I clarify that I'd like a new battery now. He goes to talk to Craig and they get into a passive aggressive spat about scheduling, with Craig repeating "at least you get days off!" a few times. They test the battery in store and confirm that it can't be charged, I'm fuming that that test wasn't considered the first day, but after a week of being sold a $120 charger, driving around to charge for hours, tons of emergency jumps from friends, making a trip to the mechanic and other busy work for them, they finally honored the warranty. I know using a warranty is always like pulling teeth these days, and part of me was prepared for a run around, but dealing with Craig was a special kind of hell. He was rude, dismissive, arrogant, sexist and most importantly wrong. It's been two weeks and a long road trip, and my new battery is working perfectly, despite his insisting that the actual professionals he told me to go to were wrong and the battery would die in a day. Went to read other reviews on this location, and found Craig leaving a raving review about the general manager (himself) and team too, which is just embarrassing.

I had to get a battery replaced they asked if I needed it installed and they did a great job no extra charge. Jimmy was awesome and very helpful. They also don't charge here to take the old battery which AutoZone does in the price was the exact same for the hardware.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?
Expand FAQ item
Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
