- HHHLynnMar 23, 20261.0I recently visited this Advance Auto Parts to purchase several items and experienced a very frustrating situation. There were multiple customers waiting in line while an employee was actively training a new staff member at the register. For approximately 20 minutes, customers were repeatedly told to “hold on” due to the training. During this time, several customers-including myself-became increasingly frustrated, and many chose to leave without making their purchases. While I understand and support the importance of training new employees, it should not come at the expense of customer service. In situations like this, a more experienced employee should step in to assist customers promptly, allowing training to continue at a more appropriate time. Unfortunately, due to the long wait and lack of assistance, I also left without completing my purchase. This experience reflects poorly on the store’s operations and customer care. I will not be returning as it seems like the customer is last on the list.

This guy went above and beyond assisting me as my hands were full. Great customer service and knowledge!

Yes we do offer free battery installation on most products with purchase. We will also recycle and test your battery for free regardless if you bought it from us. Battery testing and installation is available at most of our locations.

Typically a car battery will last 2-5 years, with premium batteries lasting 5-6 years. But you should replace it every 4 years for safe measures if you want to avoid any unwanted problems.
What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
