Today I took in my Duralast battery I purchased 10/2024 from this very store, that had a 3-year warranty. Took it in to get swapped because it was not holding a charge. They claimed they could not find any record of it under my phone number, and was told that maybe the employee that did work there didn’t “scan it into the system for record”. As a result, I had to shell out $110* for the cheapest battery I could get, and lost $220* on the old battery they should have honored. They also kept the battery, because I was in a hurry to get the new one into my car. (Had a mobile mechanic working on my car not too far away from the store) Will be calling corporate. Receipt or not, Duralast batteries should be honored period especially considering I had a 3-year warranty on it. If you buy anything from this store, save the receipt! I feel rhey purposely don’t scan it into your Autozone rewards account so they can scam you.
