- AMAuggie Martin1 day ago1.0Came in to buy a coolant hose I needed 4 ft I told them 5/16 they told they had it and cut and brought up to and they assure me they measured it properly and that I was getting 4ft… when I got home to install in my car I was short 3 1/2 inches

I normally do small things like this myself but he jumped in changed it for me. He even swapped out a battery terminal that crumbled as it was removed due to corrosion and age. Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
