  Yesterday afternoon, I landed in Naples, Florida and had a reservation for a car at Alamo rental. I was informed that there were no cars! And no chance of cars before they close! I was just left high and dry. It was extremely stressful. I do not recommend Alamo at the Naples airport. Finally, Hertz had one electric car, but never driven or fueled an electric car, that was very stressful. Because the car they gave me only was charged to 60 miles! And it took me a while to find a fast charging station. Was at one station and it told me it was going to take 7 1/2 hours to charge it. So then had to find somewhere else. And of course, had to figure out how to pay for the electricity. I was super stressed by the time I got to my Airbnb. But now that I know the ropes, I will be prepared if I ever need to rent an electric car. There are several apps where you give them your payment information and they are synced to the charging portals.

  I waited one month to rent a car, a convertible in Florida. The weather was so cold in Chicago that I wanted to have a beautiful sunny day in Florida with a convertible. When I got there, they told me they had no convertibles and they told me this time of the year they never have convertibles so why would you offer convertibles. Very disappointed.

  Rented a vehicle for one week through Costco from APF returning to RSW. At time of rental, asked if we could return back to APF for no charge if our plans changed and they said no problem. Returned to APF, confirmed with the agent that there would be no change to rate. They proceeded to charge me $1150 for a $350 rental. Have spoken to customer service for two days now and the charge has not been reversed.
