Guy immediately started telling me they "only had the normal kind in a blue gallon" oh no... lol. I asked him what type it was, if it was Leichtlauf or maybe BMW Longlife and he immediately turned into Know-it-all Guy, getting all flustered telling me that it was the normal type in the blue jug, only... Undeterred, I realized who I was dealing with and asked if I could be shown this high security selection of motor oils behind the counter... When walking back he finally asked me what kind of car it was for. I didn't bother with make and model, just told him I needed VW 502 00... When we got back to Level 10 Security shelf zone, he pointed towards a 5L container of BMW LL, and said "this is all we have!" Except right next to it was a 1L container of Leichtlauf, which is exactly what I needed. I said, "OH you do have more than one kind, great, this is exactly what I need." He just stared at the shelf and started telling me "he meant the normal oil is only sold in light blue" and the one I wanted is different because it is "dark blue." Yeah, sure guy... All these declarations of what "normal oil" might be was making me want to show this guy the internets... But, really I just didn't want to buy the oil and never see this guy again. Be careful over here, gents... If this dude sells you parts, you might be doing the job twice, or maybe worse.
