- VAVolkan AvciDec 26, 20251.0Unfair damage claim despite full insurance – Sixt Miami I rented a car from Sixt Miami with full insurance coverage. At pick-up, I carefully documented and photographed all existing damages on the vehicle. I have clear photo evidence. After returning the car, I was informed that “new damages” had occurred — however, these were exactly the same damages that were already present and documented at pick-up. Instead of properly reviewing the case, Sixt used my full insurance coverage to charge the insurance company, even though no new damage was caused by me. This is not correct, not transparent, and not fair. I immediately returned to the rental station to clarify the issue in person. The response I received was simply: “Please contact the insurance company.” No proper review, no accountability, and no customer-oriented solution.

Got there on time for pick up still had to wait almost another half hour to be attended to, front desk guy was a total jo trying to upsell everything then told me the car I had rented online was no longer available and he would upgrade me, that didn’t happen. Eventually got my car, dropped it off on time they accused me of damaging it which was a total joke after I caught them in a lie. Wasn’t going to post a bad review until 3 months after my rental they charged me over 5,000 dollars saying I never dropped the vehicle off after 90 days… absolutely ridiculous. They gave no explanation and Sixt customer service is awful, emails are slow and dreadful, didn’t even give me an explanation why I was charged so much and never returned my phone calls or email. Got my refund after a week and they’ve completely ignored me. Still charged me an extra 100 dollars on top of my rental too.
