Let them know days in advance we would be early to pickup our vehicle. Was told it would be ready for us upon our arrival time, got to the counter and was told it wouldn’t be ready for another 2 hours. Nonchalantly told us we could pay “only” $300 more for another vehicle. Not happy with customer service. This is how you treat military members traveling from overseas ?

They are trying to scam me with a fraudulent cleaning fee.
Firstly it was a very old BWM sedan.
Said the trunk had a stain. I had the car less then 24 hours and only had one suitcase in the trunk. They never showed me the pictures. Also car came with paint like stains on the hood , they never mentioned that. Tire pressures were so off, and service light was on. I had to stop to the gas station for air. I have no problem spending money to fight this fraud.

WATCH OUT!
We rented a car for a week in Florida.
Check-in went very smoothly and the employee was friendly. So far, so good.
The problems started after we arrived back home. A week later, we suddenly received an additional invoice for $755 extra. Some charges were expected, but Sixt also added a "special vehicle cleaning" fee and an "odor removal" fee.
This was shocking to us. We do not smoke, and the car was returned in clean and odor-free condition. The staff member at drop-off also didn't mention a single issue.
This experience made us feel completely betrayed. This will be the last time we book with Sixt.
== UPDATE ==
Sixt has now removed the "odor removal" charge, not because it was unjustified (which it clearly was), but as a so-called "gesture of goodwill.". That wording alone says enough.
They still refuse to remove the nearly $300 cleaning fee, which they are charging because of a bit of sand on the removable floor mats. No stains, no trash, no liquids, just sand after a week in Florida.
I'm not exaggerating: the photos attached to this review are literally what Sixt sent us as justification for the fee.
I always believed Sixt was a premium rental company, this experience proves that it absolutely is not.

Terrible experience — never again with Sixt.
I’ve been a loyal Sixt customer for years, both for business and personal rentals, but the service quality has been getting worse over time.
For a recent business trip to Orlando, I reserved a seven-seat SUV expecting a Chevy Suburban and instead received a dirty, smelly, and dented Ford Expedition. I was in a rush to pick up business partners from the airport and didn’t have time to inspect the car thoroughly — but once they got in, they immediately pointed out the issues. There were ketchup stains on the dashboard and what looked like mustard or mayo on the ceiling fabric.
Paying over $1,000 for five days for a vehicle in that condition is unacceptable. It was embarrassing and completely unprofessional for a supposed premium rental company. This was my last time with Sixt — I’ll never rent from them again or recommend them to anyone.

If you can avoid renting from here or at least dont accept any of their upcharges / upgrades.
My plane was very late and I arrived after midnight, the guy was trying to upsell me the upgrade to the more expensive car by saying that since I come after midnight one day less would be charged and if I want much better car it would cost me only 90 USD. Which I accepted even tho was on the edge if it makes sense (dont repeat my mistake). On return I was charged more than double price, so I had to pay 200 instead of 90 for this upgrade.
I'm pretty sure they knew exactly what they are doing, you dont need this stress on your business trip / holiday. There are plenty of other honest rental companies that wont scam you for squeezing every penny even if they have to lie to your face
